I walked through the front door of the tower silently, hoping I won't get caught.

Unfortunately, it didn't turn out like I hoped.

"Savannah?"

I cursed under my breath, put up a forced smile and turned around to Clint. He wore a leather jacket and dark jeans. He had his hands in his pockets, and he looked at me confusingly.

"Were you outside? Tony let you out? Why? Wh-hey, a-are you crying?" He through a million questions at me, then noticed my red and puffy eyes.

I hated being so weak.

"N-no," I said, then accidentally sniffed. I came up with an excuse, though. "I have allergies."

Clint stared at me for a moment, almost not believing me. But then he suddenly shrugged. "Okay. See you later."

He turned and walked away. I was left there confused, but then went to my room.

My room was a big place. I had Tony's "sweaty workmen" - as he called them - paint the walls a light purple, and I put up some frames. There were pictures of me and my adopted parents and Katie and I on my nightstand, near my bed. I had a queen size bed, with striped bedsheets. My closet was on the left side of my room and I had my essentials - a laptop, a lamp, picture frames, two outlets, etc, on my nightstand.

Once at my room, I shut the door and stuffed my face in my pillow, crying.

Yes, I admit I was crying. I mean, who wouldn't be? My father - my own father - rejected me. Just like that. He didn't even give me a chance. Not for a moment.

The professor clearly told us what happened, but he refused to believe it. Why? I had no idea. Maybe he had never wanted children, maybe he had a child before that died or left him? Ugh. Forget the maybes, he rejected me. I should just get over it.

But I couldn't.

There was a knock on my door. I groaned and said, my face still stuffed in my pillow, "Leave me alone."

"Savannah, what happened?"

I sighed. It was Thomas. In a different scenario, I would usually open the door to him. But right now I can't let anybody see me like this. I can't let anybody know what happened, not even Thomas.

"Leave me alone." I repeated.

"Savannah, let me in."

"Leave me alone."

"Open the door."

"Leave me alone." I said more harshly, but I didn't think he would notice because my face was still stuffed in my pillow.

There was a pause. "Savannah, open this door right now or I'll huff and puff-"

"I'm not in the mood, Tom." I said, already regretting my words towards him.

There was a sigh. Then I heard footsteps, getting faded and fader by the second.

I felt bad for not letting him in, but I need to be alone right now.

But a few minutes later, I heard footsteps outside my door again. I thought it was someone passing by, but it stopped in front of my door.

Before I could even lift my head up, there was a loud sound and my door flew out of its hinges and crashed onto the floor, near my bed.

I nearly jumped out of my pants.

Standing there was Thomas, but he had something covering his hand up to his elbow. It was red and yellow and shiny. It was then that I realized it was apart of Tony's Iron Man suit.
