DAMON HAS A TENDENCY TO BE MEDDLESOMELY CARELESS AND DESTRUCTIVE, THE GIRL ON THE FLOOR ABOUT TO WAKE UP IN TRANSITION IS NO EXCEPTIONEntertaining himself while he waits, he puts his hand in front of the strip of light emitting from the setting sun that comes through the curtains of window, then pulling it back when the heat becomes too much.
Hearing a cough and some movement, he turns to see Vicky gain consciousness, stretching on the floor.
"What happened?" She moans, neck still aching, "We were dancing and then-"
"Then I killed you."
She slowly sits up, "What?"
"You're dead."
"I'm dead." She repeats in disbelief.
"Let's not make a big deal out of it. You drank my blood, I killed you," He sits on the edge of a side table, "And now you have to feed in order to complete the process."
She groans as she gets on her feet.
"You're wasted," Taking her jeans off of a chair back rest, her body aches as she moves, "Ugh."
"You don't wanna be out there all alone," He starts to warn as she walks towards the door then flashes in front of her, "You're about to get really freaky."
Looking behind her, she turns back to him, confused about how he got there so fast, "Look, I had a really good time. I just wanna go home."
"You're gonna start craving blood and until you get it, you're gonna feel very out of it. You have to be careful."
"Come on, move." She pushes him back, then elbows him out of the way as she walks passed.
"See? You're already starting to fall apart."
"And I'm going home now." She says over her shoulder.
"Okay, fine. I'm just warning you. Actually, you know what?" Deciding to further stir things up, he suggests, "You should go. In fact, if I were you, I would stop by your boyfriend Jeremy's house."
"Yeah, whatever. Bye."'She shuffles out of the room.
"Tell Elena I said 'hi'," He quickly adds, "And if you see Stefan, tell him to call me."
He grins deviously to himself at the turmoil he's created.

Opening her eyes, Bonnie finds herself transported. Sitting on one side of the carriage, she sees elegant hatted figures on the opposite seat.
She can feel the leading horse come to a slow stop as the girl with her friend's face turns to her companion, "Be prepared, Emily. Today is the first step into our brighter future."
Watching the door swing open, she watches as Emily exits the carriage and her hand is offered to help the olive skinned girl out next. The scene is oddly familiar as she follows them out.
There are three things that stick out to her: the short row of black people in worn and torn out dated clothing waiting for their arrival- obviously slaves; the grand old looking estate and the young man who comes to greet them.
"Stefan?" She asks out loud in confusion as she turns to Emily who just grins at her, seeming to be the only one who acknowledges her.
"You must be, Miss Pierce." Stefan greets, making his way to take the girl's hand.
"Please," After a polite bow, the brunette looks back at him pleasantly, "Call me Kathrine."
The pieces start coming together...
