GETTING CLOSER AND CLOSER TO HIS GOAL IS WHAT REMINDS DAMON OF WHAT HE HAS SPENT OVER A CENTURY AND MORE FIGHTING FOR

Mystic Falls, 1864

"What are you doing? Stop it!" Katherine giggled under the covers, trying to escape her lover's embracing arms.

Flipping the white duvet off of their upper bodies, she 'struggled' to get out of his strong hold- well, strong for a human.

"Make me." Damon retorted, continuing to persistently tickle the brunette's waist that is concealed with the harsh material of a corset.

Having had enough, she grabbed pale wrists and flipped him onto his back, revelling at his expression of admiration as she sat on his lower torso.

Looking up at her, he adored the dark and veiny look that eclipsed her warm olive skinned mask as she hissed at him. Reaching out, he touched the black lines that grew from beneath her deviously fluttering lashes.

A large smile took over her face, revealing sharp fangs, he nervously grinned in response.

That was her favourite part about being with Damon, that despite the natural fear or anxiety that arise, whenever she tested his human instinct to run away screaming he always managed to bravely face it head on. Him resisting his nature just to appease her seemed to please the vampire immensely, so he banished any intuitive inclination to flee and gazed up at her in awe.

She delighted in the hands that lovingly stroked her cheek.

Just as her excitement builds up, there was a knock at the door.

"Yes?" Sparing a glance at the door, she watched her handmaiden enter the room.

"Excuse me, Miss Katherine. Miss Pearl is here to see you." Emily announced at the slightly opened doorway.

"I'll be down soon, please ask her to wait." Kathrine instructed, still occupied with the person underneath her, gazing playfully into his cerulean blues.

The Bennett witch still stood at the door with a cheeky smirk, humoured by her friend- at the time.

"Thank you, Emily," Kathrine dismissed then focused her attention back to the raven haired man when she heard the door close, "Hmm, fun's over."

"Mmm no." Damon moaned, genuinely disappointed at having to be apart from the woman of his dreams.

"I know." The immortal pouts with fake dispair in her eyes as she leaned in forward.

Meeting her halfway, he eagerly stretched his neck to meet her lips with his. He tightened the grip on her waist as he kissed her with all the passion he could muster.

She hummed as she started to pull away, but his possessive hands try to stop her from leaving.

"Damon, enough. I must go now-"

"Turn me."

The abrupt demand took her by surprise.

"Excuse me?"

"Turn me...please," His voice softens with desperation, "I wish to become like you."

Sharp brows raise curiously.

"You wish to become a vampire," She dragged her palms across his torso, enjoying how his heart raced at her touch, "A selfish and cruel monster."

"I wish to be with you forever," He confesses, "I do not have no peril over any virtue, I would be the most devilish creature in existence if it meant an eternity spent with you. No offer of heaven could change my mind."
