The night's still young, that's what they said.
When I look around and everyone's enjoying the night and obviously, the party. Nakihahalubilo naman ako sa kanila. When someone talks to me, I was trying to be so conversational. Siguro, nahihiya lang din ako dahil ayokong makita nila iyog reaksyon ko na hirap intindihan iyong mga sinasabi nila dahil sa strong ng accent nila.
Whenever Cholo caught me talking with someone else, he was trying to make me laugh. Ang sarap ihulog sa dagat. Napaka.
"So, what's your deal right now?" this French local asked.
"Uhm... what do you mean?" I queried.
"Are you dating someone? Are you single? Or are you with the guy who you came with earlier?" he questioned. "To tell you honestly, you caught my attention when you arrived."
Hindi ko sure kung compliment ba ang maitatawag do'n o masyado lang talaga akong kaakit-akit.
"Oh... that's cute," I replied genuinely. "But no, I'm with him—but not as boyfriend-girlfriend, but just friends. We both just came in... you know what I mean... I feel like my explanation feels so unnecessary."
He laughed at it. "You're funny."
"Should I take that as a compliment?"
He smiled, shrugging off. "Maybe you should... but nah, it was such a good thing we've talked. I've been dreading all night."
"At least one of us has the courage to do so," I replied.
He smirked. "Well, could this mean something now?"
Napakunot ang noo sa tanong. Wait lang. Hinay-hinay lang mister. Kakausap pa nga lang naming dalawa at nagkakakilala pa lang at bakit ganito agad ang atake sa akin? May pananabik?
"Uhm... Max, right?" I confirmed his name and answered with a jolly nod. "Uhm... you're nice, but I think we can just be friends." I patted his shoulder. "See you around..."
I turned around before he could say anything to me. Hindi na naman niya ako hinabol. I think nakuha na rin naman niya ang gusto kong iparating, e. To be honest, hindi ako interested pumasok sa isang relationship sa ngayon. I've been at a relationship for the past years na ang ending ay hindi talaga para sa akin.
Iyong isa na pinakasalan ang bff ko, while the other one was cheating on me. Pareho naman silang nag-cheat sa akin. I just forget and forgive 'yong isa kong ex-boyfriend while the other one ay ibinaon ko na talaga sa limot.
As I found my way to the bar table where a lot of assorted drinks are displayed. Kung ano-ano ang nakalagay ro'n. May alak, juice, at cola. I prefer not getting drunk tonight kaya cola na lang ang kinuha ko. I grab a can and opened it.
"So, how was it?" Nagulat naman ako sa biglang pagsulpot ni Cholo sa tabi ko.
