"Do you think he'll find out?" he asked secretively.
My eyes squinted as his questioned caught me off guard. Napalunok na lamang ako ng laway ko dahil hindi ko inaasahan na maririnig iyon sa kanya. From someone I don't think would go forward his feelings with me will make a move just like that.
Iniwas ko ang tingin ko sa kanya at tila hinanap sa kung saang paligid ko mahahanap ang sagot ko. That's the hardest question I ever had to get from someone else—someone who's good looking to my eyes.
The next thing I knew, I felt his hand on my chin making me turn to face him. Hindi pa rin ako tumitingin sa mga mata niya at tila iniiwasan ko pa rin ang mga titig niya. We were just talking and I didn't know how this conversation would end, but it seems like this is something we both weren't expecting.
"Look at me," he ordered. That daunted me and so I quickly looked into his eyes.
Muli akong napalunok ng laway saka ko ko nilabanan ang pakikipagtitigan niya sa akin. There's something in his eyes that melts me. If there's something that I would describe it, it's an underwater sinkhole where I felt like falling into his stares.
"Once again I'll ask you, do you think he'll find out?" he questioned.
"I—I don't think so..." I uttered.
"Then he won't," he replied.
The next thing he does is as he slowly puts his face closer to me. At that time, I really don't know what to do so I just close my eyes and see what would happen next. This is something that I never thought would happen after a long time since I've been single. Maybe, this is the moment for me to find that kind of love.
Siguro no'ng unang pagkakausap nga naming dalawa ay hindi maganda, but I guess over time, we're able to get over it and this time it's blooming into something I thought I'd never imagined.
But he's taking too long and I haven't felt his lips to mine—
"Zo! Zo! Wake up!" Cholo started wiggling my body to wake me up from that dream.
Mabilis na napamulat ang mga mata ko habang tinitigan ko si Cholo sa harapan ko. His face was close me and imagining what happened on my dream made me feel so embarrassed. Natigilan ako at napatitig na lamang ako sa kanya. But I could sense something wrong with the way he looked at me and his tone freaks me out.
"Zo, gising!" muli niyang pagtawag sa pansin ko dahil nakatitig lamang ako sa kanya.
I shook my head and blinked a few times to get myself back to my senses.
"Cholo? Ang aga?" aburido ko pang tanong sa kanya.
"Limer's not here," aniya.
Nagtaka ako sa sinabi niya. "Ano?"
"Limer's not here in the yacht."
"Sure ka ba?"
"Jaino and I have been looking anywhere inside the yacht. Wala siya! Have you noticed him leaving the cabin?" Umiling ako sa tanong niya dahil hindi pa rin tuluyang nagsisink-in sa utak ko itong mga pinagsasabi niya sa akin. "Hindi mo pa siya napansin? You were sleeping here, siguro naman narinig mo siya?"
