Everyone looked into the distance to see a very intimidating sight. Y/n glaze at the lava world that was next on their list.
Beep-o looked at the team with worry, "alright who should we have on the team, other than Mario and Y/n of course..."
Rabbid Yoshi and Peach decided to offer their assistance this time and the group quickly progressed.
As soon as Y/n stepped into the lava pit world, she felt the intense heat of the lava hit her face. Mario laughed quietly, "you'll get used to the heat don't worry!"
There was machinery mixed in with the ground, "this is very strange looking," Y/n hummed.
"It's nothing unusual to see other things in this environment," Peach stated as she fixed her blond hair.
Mario stared at the two women, "yes, but gears of all things? Something might be happening."
"Y/n could you please open the portal?" Beep-o asked politely. She nodded and shot at the frame and the portal opened with a bright, red light.
They all found themselves on wood surprisingly. Peach gasped at the sight.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the mouth of the lion itself - Bowser Jr. has been busy since his father left!" Beep-o explained.
Mario looked in horror at this lava world had become more machine than lava. Smoke was fuming through metal pipes.
Puff sneezed from the smog, Y/n stifled a cough. As they looked over the lava lakes there were tents scattered around and plushes of the koopaling everywhere.
"It looks as if he transformed the heart of this volcano into a military production facility," Beep-o frowned.
Y/n shook her head with a scowl on her face, "how could he do such a thing?"
"We should be a lot more weary," Mario warned. Rabbid Yoshi nodded vigorously with his tongue sticking out.
"Yeah, who knows what will be here," Peach added. The group travelled through the tense area until they were attacked by some new enemies.
Or the usual enemies with a new makeover...
"Some lava ziggies and lava hoppers," Y/n muttered. Mario and peach went to fight one side of the field, whilst Rabbid Yoshi and Y/n tackled the other side.
Both Y/n and Rabbid Yoshi went to reach high ground and behind cover as they were being shot by the enemies.
Puff flew into the air and shot fireballs onto the ziggies, they yelled angry insults as Rabbid Yoshi used his machine gun to pummel one in the face.
