Y/n and Mario dodged the big guy's metal blocks as they slammed them aggressively into the ground. Hearing a crack in the earth.
Their two rabid friends wasted no time in giving out heavy attacks to distract the big guys, Puff hissed and flew up into the air and made it rain fire from above.
This only made the smashers even more irritated as they all did a synchronised slash with made the whole volcano rumble.
Everyone rocked as the floor cracked even more beneath them, Mario looked around desperately to try and find a way out of the situation but it seem like there was no hope.
Y/n had begun backing away, only stopping once her footing became unstable and lava was boiling below.
"Mario watch out!" She yelled as a smasher charged its way at him after he shot it, the smasher yelled in anger and began running, the red plumber rolled out of the way and Y/n watched as he plummeted down into the lava.
The woman smirked at this new idea as she began taunting the big Rabbid that was coming for her. A vein popped out of his head and he yelled, charging in the process.
Y/n was quick to jump out of the way, however the smasher grabbed her ankle and brought her down with him.
She let out a scream of terror, that was cut off from the cloak choking her, as she clung onto the cliff side, Puff came to her aid and blasted fire in the brute's eyes, which made him cry in agony and fall.
Mario ran and skidded on his knees grabbing onto Y/N's cloak, "it alright, I got you..." he pulled her up swiftly and she just sat there trying to regain herself.
"Are you alright? Do you need a minute?" He started to shoot out questions, Y/n nodded slowly as Puff came back to her side and rubbed against her cheek.
Rabbid Luigi and rabbid peach had made the other flee so there was no danger anymore, they quickly went to Y/N's side to try and calm the shock.
Y/n then let out a breath and lifted herself off the ground and dusted her cloak, and realised there was a rip in it where the smasher had grabbed it.
"I'm alright now," She mumbled, rubbing her neck slowly, her breath hitched from the touch. The rest of the group didn't look convinced, but nodded.
Beep-o lead the way through a mine, beautiful glowing crystals dug into the earth and illuminated the area. It really was a sight.
Puff chirped happily as he flew towards each crystal and looked at his reflection and pushed his chest out proudly.
Y/n laughed and shook her head, "love looking at your self huh, puff?" He made more chirps as she walked over to him and quickly realised something.
