Chapter 29 - A Voice Came From Afar Saying, “So Fragrant.”

He gave a sound of confirmation, and then heard the girl ask with a tinge of embarrassment, "Could you ask him to come out after the first class ends?"

Lu YunFei, “......”

Lu YunFei didn't think that he could guarantee a result to her request, "How about coming to look for him after class instead?"

"I'm from another class, it's not nice for me to enter your class, that's why I would like you to help me ask him to step out."

"I could attempt to help, but I can't guarantee that Bian JinYuan would agree to step out," Lu YunFei said honestly, "I wouldn't be able to force him if he doesn't want to."

Lu YunFei turned around to find Li YuanQing leaning against the wall looking like he was watching a show, who even whistled when he saw him look back.

Lu YunFei had nothing to say.

Li YuanQing waited for him to walk over before hooking his arm over his neck to ask, "New peach blossom?"

"Not mine."

"Huh?" Li YuanQing was shocked, "Then what did she look for you for?"

"Cupid."

"To pass on her message?"

Lu YunFei nodded, "It's too bad that king Xiang professes an unrequited love for the goddess."

Li YuanQing frowned, "So who does she like?"

"It isn't something for you to know, let's go back."

Lu YunFei said as he pushed Li YuanQing into the classroom.

As he had expected, the goddess was uninterested.

After Bian JinYuan returned to the classroom and heard about Sun Mo, he expressed, "I will not be meeting her."

"She looks pretty, and seems to have a gentle demeanour."

"Not interested."

"You won't be wasting much time meeting her," Lu YunFei tried his best to persuade him.

Bian JinYuan looked at him, "You've got nothing to do now?"

"Yeah."

"Then let's do spelling, take the booklet out."

Lu YunFei sank into silence.

After class, Lu YunFei asked Bian JinYuan once more, "Not meeting her?"

"Didn't you get more than ten words wrong during the spelling session before class?" Bian JinYuan replied.

Lu YunFei couldn't say anything in return. Bian JinYuan didn't have many techniques, but he had the secret technique to silence him. He walked out and saw Sun Mo leaning against the nearby railing.

"I tried my best," Lu YunFei told her, "There's plenty of fish in the sea, there are other guys out there."

This result was something that Sun Mo had predicted. She had known that Bian JinYuan was an aloof loner when she was in the same class as him in first year. She had once attempted to ask him to explain some questions, but Bian JinYuan had simply replied saying that he had no time, similar to how he had treated everyone else. It was just that these few days, she had noticed the forum posts regarding Bian JinYuan and thought that he had changed, and so she decided to pull her courage together to try getting closer to him this time. Unfortunately it was in vain.

Sun Mo sighed, "Thank you."

"You're welcome," Lu YunFei said, "So, you could tie your hair back up."

Sun Mo was surprised.

Lu YunFei smiled, "Otherwise, it'll be bad if you get caught by the discipline head."

Saying this, he turned back to enter the classroom.

Sun Mo looked down at her long hair, and then back up at Lu YunFei. After a while, she took the hair tie from her wrist and tied her hair up in a ponytail.

Puppy love is simple and earnest. Even if it were a hair tie, the sentiment behind it was filled with feelings. She hadn't been able to let the person she liked see herself the way she wanted him to, but she had unexpectedly seen someone else's gentleness.

This result didn't seem too bad.

Sun Mo smiled and headed back to her class.

Lu YunFei went back to the classroom and patted Bian JinYuan's shoulder, "It's done."

"You can ignore such requests next time."

"There's still a next time? Nah, I'm not your dedicated cupid."

Bian JinYuan didn't really understand, "Why must anyone be in a relationship?"

"Good question," Lu YunFei gave him a thumbs up, "Probably because anyone in a relationship would be happy."

"I don't need it."

"Tsk tsk tsk," Lu YunFei gave him a round of applause, "Do you know what the essence of humanity is?"

On the third day of their search Lu YunFei finally discovered Bian JinYuan working at the milk tea shop near their school and the hospital.

He stopped his bicycle, looked at Bian JinYuan who was busy in the milk tea shop, and took out his phone to call the group chat with Li YuanQing and Wen MingYi.

"What's up?" Li YuanQing asked.

"No need to continue searching, I've found him." Lu YunFei said and ended the call as he walked towards the milk tea shop.

Bian JinYuan had just finished taking down the previous order and raised his head back up to ask, "What would you like," when he saw Lu YunFei look back at him proudly.

The sunlight shone on his face, highlighting the sparkle in his eyes, causing his entire person to look illuminated and vivid. He said, "I'd like a cup of bubble milk tea, no ice."
