The station was noisy. Remus walked towards the train dodging the running students. His current state didn't look good and he knew it. It was a few days until the next full moon and he was exhausted.

He was exhausted by it all.

Before Remus could go in a familiar voice caught his attention.

"Remus!" Kat called out before running towards the boy. She carefully dodged the other students in order to get to him quickly. "Hi." She breathed out tiredly with a wide smile on her face.

"Hi," Remus replied. He found the girl's unexpectedly excited behavior quite amusing and maybe a little- just a little cute. "What's gotten you so happy?" He asked.

"I was just...happy to see you." She admitted, not knowing the effect her words had on the boy. Remus really hated to way her words made him feel, they made him feel incredibly flustered and that made him feel incredibly confused.

"Have you been feeling okay?" She asked and Remus assumed she had taken notice of his current state.

"Yeah, I've been feeling fine." He reassured but Kat didn't believe him one bit. He looked the same as the day when she saw him going to the forbidden forest, or the others times when he missed school.

"Are you sure?" She asked with a concerned look.

Remus then remembered what had happened a couple of full moons before. How he had hurt Kat, he wasn't sure if he could ever forgive himself for that incident. Maybe it was better if Kat stayed farther away from him. Maybe this was all a bad idea.

"Yeah, I'm sure." He breathed out, his mind still thinking. "I've gotta go." He said before quickly moving past her.

Kat looked at the boy who was now far from her in curiosity. She watched as he quickly rushed away from her without stopping. She hoped he would turn back at least once. She also hoped it wasn't something she said that made him act this way.

"KATTT!" A loud voice caught her attention.

"Hi, Marlene." Kat greeted with a bright smile.

"How was your break?" Marlene asked as she locked arms with Kat and entered the train.
