After the events from yesterday, I stayed by max side, the others were sleeping downstairs in the basement.
Me on the other hand, I was in the kitchen with max, we talked and everything— and he's been opening up to me just a little more.
"Are you okay?" I heard max ask, I looked at him with an raised eyebrow, "I-I'm fine." I answered, he sighed and crossed his arms.
"You know I can tell when you're lying, right?" Max said, I nodded, "Well, so nice of you to figure out now." I added.
He let out a small chuckle before looking down at his drawing again.
Max then cleared his throat before turning to me again, the same look in his eyes.
"You might not want to talk to me again after I pushed you away, but— I wanted to say I'm sorry." Max said, I shook my head, "Don't be. I was too busy being selfish. And let's leave it at that." I said, max sighed again and looked away.
