Chapter 3. Friends?

Me and Wednesday had become pretty close. While not close, but well yeah...

Well i think were becoming friends. She told me that Tyler will be helping her escape out of Nevermore, and so we have to go to the festival tonight.

She agreed to let me escape with her.
I swear Nevermore is so boring.
The only people im really friends with besides Enid, is Xavier, Tyler, Ajax and Wednesday to be honest.

But hey! I didnt mind their company.

I was getting bored so i decided to go see Xavier for a bit.

I knock on his shed door. He told me about the paintings from his dreams and i promised not to tell anyone.

He opens the door.

"Oh hey y/n!" He says, with a smile leading me inside.

"Any new painings?" I ask amazed by them.

"Ya, another monster as usual." He says rolling his eyes, he shows his new one.

𝑺𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝒊 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒍 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒃𝒐𝒅𝒚 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒏 𝒂𝒓𝒕
𝒃𝒓𝒐 𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒚.

"Woah Xavier, these are amazing." I say in awe.

He smiles at me, and grabs a can of coke from his mini freezer.

"Thanks." I say taking the coke.

"Maybe i should try making the monster come alive?" He says wondering.

"Will it work?" I ask. He shrugs.

"I dont know lets try then." He says.

He takes the art into the woods, and we make sure were alone.

"Okay 3.." He says.

"2......." I say.

"1!!" We both say.

He hovers his hand above the painting and it comes alive looking like i sketch.

"Holy shit!" He says. It just looks at us.

"Woah-" i say.

Xavier smacks the thing, and it dissapears into dust.

"Thats awesome." I say hugging Xavier.

We both laugh and eat some Dorritos.

The rest of the day i hanged out with Xavier, it was really fun being with him. Oof now im stuck thinking about something Enid had asked me

"Do you like Xavier?" She asks.

I look at her not knowing what to say.
I like Tyler....but i also like Xavier.

"Erm-" is all i say.

She laughs.

"You so like Xavier!" She says chuckling.

"Ya maybe i do." I say rolling my eyes.

"But i also like another guy." I add.

She leans in closer wanting to know more.

"Theres this barrista...Tyler." I say.

"Tyler Galpin? I think i follow him on instagram." She says.

I smile at her.

"ASK HIM TO THE RAVE'N?!" she suggests.

I look at how excited she is and laugh.

"Okay, okay." Ill go over to the cafe tomorrow." I say.

I fall asleep comfortably, but then here comes the god damn nightmare 💀

I wake up.

𝒊 𝒉𝒂𝒅 𝒂 𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒎 𝒎𝒚 𝒅𝒂𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒌𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝒎𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒚.

I keep on gasping and Enid eventually wakes up, and gets me some water.

In the morning i was bored so i lit up some things. I pulled a prank on Xavier and burnt one of his uniforms. He was pretty pissed but he just laughed along.

Right now i was heading to Tylers cafe, ready to ask him to the Rave'N.

I arrive and walk in. Shit wheres my courage gone ;-;.

"Hey Tyler." I say awkwardly.

"Hey y/n! He says happily.

He makes me my usual coffee and comes to sit by me, as theres no customers.

"So ive been wanting to ask you someth-" i was interupted by Wednesday barging in.

"Tyler we need to talk." She says.

I frown, and walk out letting just a tear slip out from frustration. I feel my body start to heat up. I was probably catching alight.

"SHIT." i say running to the bathroom to calm myself down.

Tyler and Wednesday give me confused faces.

I walk out of the bathroom.

I dont look at the mirror terrified of what i looked like.

𝒊 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒅𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒍𝒚 𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒖𝒏, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒊𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒓.

Normally my eyes would go all red.

So i didnt catch a light, i turned into a pheonix.

It normally stops the fire.

So i fly out.

Tyler looks at bird me confused.

"Shes a shapeshifter." Wednesday states to him.

I squak, even though Tyler didnt know what it meant, it meant i love you.

I turn back.

My hair was orange and red, of course it was.

Tyler looks at me shocked.
