Chapter 14. Christmas

Today was christmas, the most 'wonderful" time of the year as they call it.

Nevermore was hosting a huge feast for all the students, which is compalsery to attend. And a ball at night

Tyler couldnt come though because it was 'important' but he wouldnt tell me what it was.

So i invited Xavier to attend the ball with me.

He said yes, and we both agreed its a friend thing.

I decided to wear this dress

My uncle sent it to me, said it used to be my mothers, i cried when i thought about her, i missed her so much.

•Christmas lunch•

All of the Nevermore students were gathering in the huge hall, there was stacks upon stacks of food.

I took a seat next to Kc, and noticed Xavier wasnt sitting with him.

"Hey whats up with you and Xavier?" I ask furrowing my brows

"Nothing, just something stupid." He mumbles and shrugs it off.

I keep silent leaving the topic at that.

"So how was your week?" He asks changing the topic

"It was good i guess yours?"

"It was okay..." He says making a poker face

"Omg whens everyone gonna get here im hungry." I groan

"Yea same, theyre taking forever." He says in an annoyed voice

We sit chatting for about another 15 minutes when everyone enters

"Attention everyone." The principle calls

"We gather here today, to feast and celebrate the joy of christmas day, and our ball tonight. Please enjoy and endure the moment!" She finishes

There were cheers and cuttlery clanking.

I got some y/f/f and to drink y/f/d

"Im so full..." Kc groans looking a little pale

"Have some coke it will help." I recommend

He takes a sip and lies back in his seat

•getting ready for ball•

"Come on y/n hurry up we need to do your hair and makeup!" Enid bangs her fist on the door.

"Okay okay coming!" I say and exit the bathroom

"You look amazing!" She says gushing

"Thank you Enid." I blush

She then leaves my hair down and straightens it.

She does light makeup, using gold eyeshadow, and clear lip gloss, with black eyeliner

"What would i do without you Enid?" I ask looking at myself in the mirror

"You'd most likely be dead." She says and we both laugh

"Come on lets go." She says and grabs my hand

"Its impossible to walk in these heels" i say

"Get used to it"

We walk into the hall to see it decorated beautifully.

When I walk down the stairs everyones gaze was lingering on me, Xaviers jaw practically dropped to the ground.

"Hey." I say and walk to him.

"You look...wow." He says i roll my eyes.

"Come on lets go in." I say
