Storm

My heads been fucked for the last couple of weeks since Colt decided to go after Fey again. She reported him to his school and she made a police report as well, and as of now he got a five week suspension from the hockey team which is a positive. I can't get over the fact that I wasn't there to help her but fucking Reid Winters was. Part of me is grateful that he was but a bigger part hates the idea of him coming to her rescue, like she owes him something now.

It's the weekend and Fey stayed the night at the hockey house last night. She's fast asleep in my arms letting out the cutest little snores. I'm sitting up and watching her sleep like a total creep, but I'm not even sorry about it. She looks so peaceful which says a lot because most night she'll wake up in the middle of the night shouting or screaming in her nightmares. We've slept together every night for the last two weeks since the attack because she doesn't want to sleep alone. I hate that he put this fear in her that she can get attacked at any given moment now.

She doesn't want to go to O'Malley's again and I can't blame her for that. I lean forward and kiss her forehead thinking about how she reminds me of a Sunday morning. A lyric I've heard many times and never fully understood the depths of it until I met her. That's exactly what she reminds me of. The warmth, calmness, relaxed and happy feeling of waking up on Sunday knowing that you still have one more day of the weekend left.

We have Halloween coming up in a week and next thing you know it'll be Thanksgiving. I assume she's going home to spend it with her family and the though of being apart for a week kills me. Selfishly I wish that we could spend it together because all I want to do is be around her. She starts to stir and then I watch as her eyelids flutter open "Were you watching me sleep?" she asks.

"Maybe" she laughs and rolls off of me.

"Such a creep" I reach over and start tickling her.

She cracks up and tries to push me away "Oh my god stop or I'm going to pee" which only makes me continue especially when she squeals "I'll pee all over your bed" she threatens and I finally stop.

"Alright, alright... no need to get nasty" she smacks my arm and roll off the bed.

My Harvard shirts falls down past her knees, looking like a dress on her "I'll be right back" she walks out of my room and closes the door behind her.

I sit back and look down at my morning wood mumbling to myself because she always gets me riled up. A few minutes later she walks back in and jumps on top of me "I want pancakes" is the only thing she says before she peppers kisses all over my face.

"We can see if we have stuff to make them downstairs if not I'll take you to get some?" She grins and then slides off of me.

I stand, grabbing a shirt from the closet and sliding on a pair of basketball shorts. She throws her hair into a messy bun and then head downstairs to the kitchen. Some of the guys are on the couch watching tv while the others are still asleep. She takes a seat at the counter while I make her a coffee and look through the cabinets for pancake mix.

I slide her coffee across the counter to her after I pour some cream in it. I still have no idea which guy likes peppermint mocha creamer but when I found out, I'm going to have a field day making fun of him. I find a box that hasn't gone bad and then start to pull out the rest of the ingredients and her whole face lights up.

She claps her hands together "Ah I'm so excited right now. I've been craving pancakes"

"Hopefully they live up to your expectations" I say with a wink and begin baking.

She watches me the entire time with the cutest grin on her face. I the excitement in her baby blue eyes as I pour the batter onto the hot pan and wait to flip them. I make some eggs and bacon for us to have on the side and eventually some of the guys walk in, asking if I can make enough for them. Because of the generous guy that I am, I make the whole box.

I make Fey's plate first of course and then tell the guys whoever wants some to come get it. Eventually I'm able to make my own plate and then take a seat next to my girl. I take a bite and fuck me if this isn't one of the best, fluffiest pancakes I've ever had.

"Not to toot my own born but I killed it" she nods excitedly in agreement with a mouthful of egg.

"I agree, they're perfect. Thank you babe" she gives me a sticky kiss on the cheek.

She insists on cleaning up afterwards, and then we make another cup of coffee and play Mario Kart in the living room with some of the guys. It rains all day long so I don't feel guilty about staying inside and being lazy most of the day. Around three, she finally heads home to finish some homework.

I clean my room up and start some laundry. Jack comes home around four and comes right into my room to annoy me. He lays back on my bed and tosses a ball up at the ceiling "How has Fey been since that shit with Colt? And be honest. Her mom's been worrying about her" he says with a sigh.

"She's okay, still wakes up in the middle of the night sometimes but the bruising on her cheek and lips is almost fully healed. She's strong and isn't going to let it mess with her" I say a little defensive.

He turns his head and looks at me seriously "Yeah well that's how she was after the accident with Archer. She tried to be strong and hid away all her shit which ended up back firing on her. She might seem okay on the outside but keep an eye on her because it might surprise you to find out she's not okay after all" he slides off my bed and walks towards the door.

"I'll keep an eye on her and let you know if I see anything" he nods and then walks out.

I pull some of my books out and start reading to get ahead on my classes this week. I go over some review questions and finish a couple assignments that take longer than I had imagined. By the time I finish is past seven, I heat up some left over pizza and grab a beer. I sit on the couch and watch TV with Garrett and Kent.

"How's Fey?" Garrett asks.

"She's good" I say and it satisfies him.

"Still can't believe you're in a relationship... never thought I would live to see the day" Kent jokes.

"Yeah well get used to it. It's a hell of a lot better then sleeping around" I say and he finds it comical.

"Good for you man, seriously. But I'm just not there yet... I love having a different lady whenever I want"

"Whens the last time you even had a girl stay over?" Garrett asks, calling him out.

"A few days ago" he says.

"Sure man" is his reply and we both laugh.

"Fuck you guys..." he gets all pissy with us.

I finish my pizza and head upstairs to bed early. After I change and slide into bed, I check my phone and see a couple texts from Feyre. We end up texting and then she FaceTime's me with a homework question and I end up helping her complete her last two assignments. When shes's finished we continue talking until I can't stop yawning and then I notice that she actually fell asleep.

I chuckle to my self, whisper I love you and then hang up. I plug it into the charger and it lights up again, I reach for it thinking it's Fey and see a message from a number that I don't have saved. I click the notification and it says 'I'm going to fuck your girl one way or another' I stare at my screen.

My stomach churns as the message sets in and I can only think of one person who would send this Colt. I should respond but that's exactly what he wants, some kind of reaction from me. I refuse to buy into his stupid fucking games. He knows if he tries anything again that he's a deadman. I set my phone aside and make sure my alarms are all set.

I lay back on my pillow and can't shake that message from my thoughts. What's his obsession with her? Is it because she rejected him or the fact that I beat his ass and it's his way of getting back at me, by going after her. I'll show the guys tomorrow so they can all keep an eye on her if I'm not around. He's probably bluffing because he knows he'll get arrested or worse, but I don't want to risk it with her.

It takes some time but eventually I'm able to fall asleep and when I do all I see is her beautiful smile.
