Someone's Watching Me

Feyre

Kenzie and I had a girl's night last night which was much needed. We caught up on life and told each other all about our trips. I opened up to her about what happened with Reid and she threatened his life, as per usual. We went to dinner and then to two different bars and each time I felt like someone was watching me. I don't know how to explain it, but the hairs on the back of my neck kept standing up and my gut kept telling me to be cautious and not go off anywhere alone. Kenzie and I never left each other's sides and naturally we don't without the guys.

The last couple of days around campus I've been getting that weird feeling as well. I keep looking over my shoulder and trying to be aware of my surroundings. Storm's been busy with practice because of their upcoming game and he's been bombarded with homework in his classes. We see each other in the mornings and when we're going to bed most of the time.

I stay at the coffee shop later than usual today to get some extra cleaning and ordering done. I send the girls home when we close and tell them that I can finish up the cash register once they do their side work. I'm in my office counting out the money when I hear the front door chime, which is strange because I told Lizzie to lock it on her way out. I shrug it off and stand to walk out and tell whoever it is that we're clearly closed. When I get to the front, I stop dead in my tracks because standing in front of me is Reid.

"Um hi... we're closed" I say in the friendliest way possible.

He looks around "I know, I figured you would still be here and I wanted to apologize for what happened over break" I see the fake sincerity in his green eyes, knowing he doesn't mean it.

"I appreciate the apology but I think you should leave" I say seriously.

He stares at me for a moment "Feyre, can we just talk?" he runs a hand through his hair seeming a little frustrated.

"Reid, I don't have anything to say to you. What you did was fucked up and unforgivable" I say screw beating around the bush as the blunt truth falls from my nervous lips.

"I think that's ridiculous, especially after what I did for you with Colt" I scoff at his excuse.

"Seriously? You did the right thing with him... he tried to attack me AGAIN. I don't owe you anything for being a good person" I see his eyes darken and I take a step back, luckily we have the counter in between us.

"You really are a selfish and ungrateful bitch Feyre" his voice gets loud and echoes across the walls.

"Leave right now, or I'm calling the cops" I threaten and pull my phone out of my pocket, ready to dial 911.

He holds his hands up in a fake surrender "Alright, no need to be dramatic.... you better watch your back though" he says with an evil smirk and walks out the door.

I wait until he's across the street before rushing over and locking the door. My hearts racing and I'm on the verge of tears as I call Storm and thank God he answers "Can you please come to the shop, I know you're busy but I need you... please" he says he's on his way and we hang up.

I go to the back and finish what I was working on and then put it all away. I put my coat on and walk out to the front and wait for Storm. Fifteen long minutes later his truck pulls right up to the curb and he hurries out. He jogs up to the door and I unlock it "Hey baby, what's going on?" I step out and then lock it behind me.

"Reid... he just showed up. Lizzie forgot to lock the door on her way out and I heard someone come in. When I walked out he was standing at the front" tears stream down my cheeks, he caresses my cheek and wipes them away.

"Beauty, it's okay... I'm here now. What did he say?" I take a deep breath in, and then exhale.

"He apologized and I thanked him and asked him to leave. That only pissed him up, he yelled at me and I threatened to call the cops so he left. But as he walked out he told me to 'watch my back' it the most evil look on his face. I don't understand why he's being like this" he pulls me into his chest, wrapping his strong arms around me.
