Chapter 67: No More Heroes (Carnage Arc Finale)

An explosion goes and a white shockwave emits as it spans from the entire city block. The shockwave knocks everyone back as it also demolished half of the cathedral.

Y/n was covered in dust as he groggily got up. Venom had disappeared. There was nobody there. Y/n looks around him as he sees the white light beaming down to earth was gone.

Y/n: Heh...looks like it's over...It's finally ov–AAAAGHH!!!!

Carnage emerges from the rubble as he looks around only to see only Y/n.

Carnage: SPIDER-MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Y/n: Uh-Oh...

Carnage grabs Y/n and punches him in the face with small spikes on his knuckles. Y/n goes flying into some debris and shatters the rock after getting punched.

Carnage: You ruined everything!!!!

Y/n: Hey don't blame me!!! I tried to finish this by not causing too much collateral damage...

Carnage: Then we'll finish it NOW!!!!

Carnage grabs Y/n and throws him into the remains of a wall. Y/n then fires a web line at Carnage and he catches the string and pulls Y/n towards himself.

Carnage: Come on Spider-Man, Let me show you what I got!!!!!

Carnage then backhands Y/n once he was close in range. Y/n gets up and sprints towards Carnage and punches him in the jaw. Y/n kicks him in the shins and the knee.

Carnage: Finally you land a hit!!! I was getting bored of smacking you around.

Carnage then forms a spear and throws it at Y/n. Y/n dodges it narrowly as it grazes his suit making a cut on him. Y/n grabs his arm in pain as he was cut.

Carnage: What's wrong, did I cut you?!

Carnage kicks Y/n in the face, causing him to spin in the air uncontrollably.

Carnage: Let me fix it!!

Carnage forms an ax in his hand and Y/n makes a shield out of webs and blocks the red ax. Carnage keeps bombarding Y/n with attacks to the point the webbed shield shattered to pieces. Carnage spins around and cuts Y/n's leg.

Y/n: AAAAGGGGHHHH!!!!!!

Carnage: HEH HEH HEH HEH....HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!

Carnage kicks Y/n away and forms eight tendrils out his back. He uses them to attack Y/n and Y/n dodges various times, but Carnage isn't trying to kill him just yet.

He's just playing with him. He's overloaded Y/n's spider senses and is hitting Y/n. Every pint of blood spilled from Y/n only makes his smile grow wider and wider. He then grabs Y/n's face and breaks his eye lenses. He slams on the ground multiple times and kicks him across the floor. Carnage cackles maliciously.

Carnage: I LOVE the smell of BLOOD!!!!!!

Carnage then unleashes his claws but longer than they were before. Y/n hid behind some debris with the tattered and destroyed suit he wore as he aided his wounds.

Carnage: What's wrong, Spider-Man? Is your life flashing before your eyes?!?

Y/n: ...

Carnage: Why don't you come out and face me!?!! If not then you're just a Spider-Wuse!!!!!

Y/n, conflicted with the choices of saving the city and Cletus. He knew how it was going to end. But he also knows he can do both. He then activates a piece of tech in his gloves as they heat up.

Y/n: If you want me to face my fears?! Then let's see who wakes up from this nightmare!!!

Y/n then gets up from behind the rock to face Carnage. Carnage forms an ax in one hand and a sword in the other.
