A week had passed and nothing had happened. However, Chuuya constantly had the feeling of being watched and became slightly paranoid. Dazai could understand his behavior, after all, it was also about the safety of his daughter and Chuuya and his own, and he spent most of his time trying to calm Chuuya.

Since they got the news, Daira slept in bed with Chuuya.

At first she thought it was funny, but then she was happy about her mother's company.

Dazai and Chuuya had gone to work for three days, but Fukuzawa had sent them home after seeing how done Chuuya was with his nerves. Nevertheless, he pays them a little money so that they could provide for themselves and not have more problems. He also promised to find a solution, but it was difficult to find one. On this day they had to do a bulk purchase, as they had run out of supplies, and since Dazai would not be able to get everything on his own, he and Chuuya decided to buy me Daira. So they drove into the city center and parked in the large parking garage next to which the shopping center of the city was located. There were all kinds of shops and, above all, many people.

The two adults hope that Mori would not attack them in a crowd, it would cause too much attention. So they strolled calmly through the center and watched their daughter, who ran ahead and pointed to the things she wanted.

Chuuya made sure that she always stayed close to her and Dazai bought her a brown cuddly bunny that she had particularly enjoyed.

So they just wandered around for some time and enjoyed the little feeling of security.

After some time, Chuuya noticed Dazai walking next to him, carefully reaching for his hand and after a brief hesitation and Dazai's words wrestling through his head, "Give me a second chance," he interlaced his fingers with Dazai's. So a short time later they walked hand in hand through the area and both had a blissful smile on their faces.

Neither of them had noticed how their daughter had watched everything and was also smiling happily.

As they passed a game store, Dazai suddenly said, "I bet I'm still better than you!" "Huh, that's what you're dreaming of!" replied Chuuya. His ambition was awakened. Exactly what Dazai wanted to do and a little later the shopping was completely forgotten. On this day, Daira learned how to play slot games and place bets. Sometimes she sat on her mother's lap, then she looked over her father's shoulder and witnessed him stomping Chuuya into the ground.

"Well, I'll admit defeat!" he capitulated and raised both hands. "But we should be doing our shopping slowly," he added, and they realized what time it was.

So they went and got the groceries and other things they had only come to the mall for. After they had worked through the list and loaded everything into Dazai's car, Dazai cleaned up the shopping cart together with Daira. She had been sitting in it the whole time and now refused to leave him. After a short conversation and the promise that there would be ice cream at home, Chuuya manages to get her into the car and after Dazai and he got in, they drove off.It was only about ten minutes to Dazai's apartment and as he turned off the main road they suddenly heard a huge rumbling behind them and when they looked around they saw that the two cars behind them had crashed into each other.

There were two black cars and they had probably both wanted to turn at the same time. In this attempt, they had apparently gotten in each other's way. "What happened?" asked Chuuya. His voice didn't sound quite firm. The fear that had just been forgotten came back. Dazai put a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "That was a normal accident. All good!".

These words helped Chuuya calm down a bit, but her carefree mood was gone. Meanwhile, a large crowd had already formed around the scene of the accident. But Dazai drove on. Firstly, there were enough people to help and secondly, he had concealed from Chuuya that there were men in black suits in the two cars who had been following them for a while.

Within a few minutes, they had arrived at their apartment and carried the purchases into the house together. Chuuya immediately began to store them and Daira briefly disappeared into her rooms to show her new stuffed animal her home. When she was done, she came to her mother's kitchen and got her promised ice cream.By now it was getting late and Dazai sat down with Daira in front of the TV and watched an old Disney movie with her while Chuuya was preparing dinner.By now it was getting late and Dazai sat down with Daira in front of the TV and watched an old Disney movie with her while Chuuya was preparing dinner.

That evening, Chuuya invited Dazai to sleep with him and Daira in bed. On the grounds that it was his bed anyway and Daira could certainly sleep better that way.

However, he did not rub under his nose that he stayed up longer in the evening and watched the two. That would remain his secret. Chuuya brushed a strand out of Daira's face and then looked over at Dazai. He had to smile as he thought about what had happened today, then whispered, "Thank you. Thank you for today and thank you for trying to distract me from the fact that the mafia has persecuted us. I noticed it anyway." With these words, Chuuya finally lay down and fell asleep a short time later.
