soon enough, the students all arrived at hogwarts. the sorting ceremony was still the same every year, by the sorting hat. it was placed upon the new students heads and their house was chosen. they'd go toddling off to their house tables, some pleased and some displeased.

roslyn, was of course sat at the gryffindor table once again, trying to cover her green tie and green symbol on her robe with her hair. she so very much hated being with the snakes. she was morely ashamed.

she was sat by hermione, just opposite harry. hermione was just opposite ron. the four would occasionally glance at each other or laugh at the toads randomly deciding to go out of pitch.

the choir was singing in harmony, the toads being held only adding to it. filius flitwick was directing them, flicking his wrists, the kids watching carefully. he happened to be the head of ravenclaw house and quite a dwarf-like man, though he was a good charms professor and was decently nice.

the choir finished, all the members scattering off to their house tables. as they left, they slowly revealed the headmaster, stepping up to the podium.

he spoke rather loudly and clearly, making sure all attention was strictly on him "welcome welcome to another year at hogwarts! now I'd like to say a few words before we all become too befuddled by our excellent feast."
