Chapter 37

After days of traveling in our not so cool cars to not alert Emit's people of our return to Europe or Italy specifically, we finally park our cars on a hill overlooking Emit's mansion just a mile away and contact Victoria.

"Wait for your cue" she says on the phone sounding out of breath, there's a sound of things being shoved around in the background before the phone goes black. I sigh shoving it back in my back pocket while staring at Jalen, he has been sitting on the car trunk staring in the distance since we got here, I get out of the car to join him and sit next to him, staring at the far mansion crawling with about 100 guards by now just to keep Victoria inside, I turn to him after a few minutes of silence

"What are you thinking??" he shakes his head

"All this days we spent in Italy touching her, kissing her were made easier by the fact that she was still confused but now that she has her memory back...we're back to her hating us" he says lowly looking down at his feet, I sigh

"At least she'll be back with us and safe" I tell him gently patting his shoulder but even I can't accept this truth, the past month we spent here and all the things we did to her...with her makes it hard to stay away from her. We turn around when we see cars approaching us and stand up to meet the new guys.

I open the trunk to take out the armor bags as the SUV's pull over and Russians jump out of them, throwing them on the ground infront of them we start getting ready, connecting earpieces to our ears and grab my two knifes. I groan when a motorcycle stops next to our cars, for an hour there I thought he forgot and won't show up, I don't get why he has to be present...I mean he sent his men that's enough, he's not needed but I guess he will never miss a chance to make us look bad infront of Victoria.

"Please tell me you weren't just about to start without me" Ivanov says getting down his bike and takes off his helmet before walking over to us, to our utter dislike Dominic asked for his help since we couldn't bring our men here unnoticed, it would've not only alerted the Lycans but it would've started a more physical war between the Vampires and the Lycans.

BOOOM!!

We all jump startled and turn around to see what made that sound, there's a big dark cloud of smoke going up in the air just above the dense forest a few feet from the mansion which could only come from an explosion, my phone vibrates a second later, accepting the call I put it on speaker

"That's your cue" Victoria says before hanging up, nodding at everyone to get going Jalen grabs his sniper bag from the car and starts assembling his sniper rifle on top of the car's trunk before laying on the ground along with it to be our eyes, I tug two more knives in each side of my boots and put on my hoodie before descending the mountain with the rest of the guys, we split into teams and spread out in all directions as soon as we reach the dense forests to surround the mansion and start killing them from all sides.

"They know you're here" Jalen says through the earpiece just when the mansion comes into view, I smile seeing a group of three men standing a few feet infront of me on security patrol and climb up a tree, jumping from one tree to another until I'm standing above them and jump down kicking his gun from his hands I stab the man closest to me in the throat with my knife, his friends hold up their guns about to shoot, I grab the gun from one of them elbowing his hands to loosen his grip on the gun and use it to kill his friend before killing him, I remove my knife from the fool's throat watching as his blood splatters every where and continue to the mansion

"It's been a long time since I had this much fun" Ivanov says with a smile standing over a dead body as I walk out of the forest into the backyard, I roll my eyes throwing my knives at the two men approaching him from behind, the knives stab into one of them's throat and the other one in his eye, I walk up to them as their dead bodies slump down on the floor and pull my knives out of them before running towards the mansion's back entrance, a dead body falls from over my head with a bullet in the side of his head making me stop and turn to the mountain Jalen is cosy in
