Elizzer has been very busy with the case of his dad. He's serious when he said he would not let his dad get rid of this matter. Nasa kulungan na ngayon ang daddy niya.

But after he applied medication to my wound, we never had a long talk.

Bumuntong-hininga ako at tiniklop ang laptop ko.

I missed him.

I missed his presence.

I missed him hugging me.

I gazed over my phone. Parang kinurot ang dibdib ko nang makitang wala ni isang missed calls or texts mula sa kaniya.

I changed my face mask before I walked out of my office to go home.

I feel so tired and frustrated starting from the hard tension yesterday. Ang pisngi ko ay masakit pa rin.

"Kara," I called my PA.

"Yes, Madam?"

"Can you please call Cliff? Magpapahatid ako sa bahay ni mom." utos ko.

"Sa bahay niyo po?" She asked. "Aren't you supposedly preparing for your guesting today, Miss Jaile? Ilang oras na lang po, mala-late na kayo kung uuwi pa ho kayo sa bahay niyo." Natigilan ako sa sinabi niya.

"Really?" I asked. I've forgotten about that matter. Hindi ko naisip na may event pa pala akong kailangang daluhan.

"Yes, Madam." She answered. "Tomorrow, you have a photoshoot, they're two, one for your wine endorsement and one for the perfume."

I nodded and then I realized I wouldn't be able to attend because my face was bruised.

"Please tell them I have emergency." sagot ko sa kaniya.

Kara nodded to me and never asked for why's.

Just like what I've told my people, Cliff sent me to mom's house. I can't stay inside Elizzer's house dahil baka ay mapunta roon si Tita Evone. I'm not ready to tell her what had happened, kaya mas mabuting malayo muna ako sa kanila.

Pagpasok ko, naroon si mommy sa living room, nakaupo sa couch habang nagkakape.

"Hi, mom." I greeted her, without removing my face mask.

Naglakad ako palapit sa kaniya at nang humilig ako para halikan siya sa pisngi, iniwas niya ang kaniyang mukha sa akin.

I was shocked.

I didn't expect it.

"You've never shown yourself to me after that engagement you decide yourself. Akala ko nga ... Wala ka nang balak bumalik, e." Puno ng pait ang boses niya at tumawa ng napaka sarkastiko.

Nagbaba ako ng tingin.

I can't defend myself back. Alam kong mali ako. Alam kong masyado kong na-ignore si mommy.

She stood up. Nakapamaywang siya sa harapan ko.

"I've been to your new condo. I've been to your office. I've been to your friends house at wala ka sa mga iyon! Hindi ka rin nagpakita sa akin! Our helper told me you went here and you didn't even think of your mom! Hindi mo lang naman ako hinintay para kamustahin, Jaile! You're becoming so disrespectful because of that man!" Halos maputol ang lalamunan niya sa lakas ng sigaw.

"I'm sorry, Mom..." Kumukurap na bulong ko. "I'm so sorry..."

"Tell me. Are you sleeping with Elizzer?! Doon ka ba umuuwi kaya ilang Linggo kang hindi nagpakita sa'kin, ha?!"

Nag-angat ako ng paningin kay mommy. "Mom, we're engaged."

Her shoulders slumped right after hearing what I said.
