Liam and Barry made their way inside the time-vault in silence, Barry couldn't help but to look back down at the drive in his hands with a strong feeling in the pit of his stomach. The two stood in front of the stand, Liam glancing at his father with a nervous expression.

"Do— do you want me to do it?" Liam asked quietly, motioning to the drive in Barry's hand.

Barry clears his throat, looking at him as he gave a small nod― words were yet to come out as he couldn't help but to have a feeling on what was on the drive. Liam sends him a small smile of reassurance before taking it from his hands on putting it inside the stand, the boy waving his hand over the light.

The two look to see an empty chair being projected in front of them first, as a similar crest is marked in the middle of the seat.

Liam sighs quietly, glancing at his father, "I'll be outside, okay? I think it's best you watch it alone."

"Okay." Barry said, his voice quiet as he looks at him.

Liam turns on his heel and walks out of the time-vault, the doors closing behind him as Barry is now left alone in the room. The brunette exhales softly and looks back at the video being projected in front of him before waving his hand over the stand as it began to play.

A figure comes to view, taking a seat on the chair as Barry holds his breath to see that Y/N came on the screen. He was yet to make where she was even recording the video, because the place looked neither familiar to any place he knew. The girl fixed her sweater hood as she began to fix her messy ponytail, the brunette noticing her Electric-Flash ring in a chain, around her neck— she was wearing it as a necklace.

Y/N looks at the camera, silence filled the room completely as she was yet to break the quietness. Barry couldn't help but to grow even more nervous, but a part of him was glad that nothing was said yet because he was afraid of what she was going to say.

The speedster in the video takes out her phone and takes a look at it, then places her device on the table in front of her before saying in a quiet voice, "Today is— April 24, 2024— a day before Crisis."

"I know it's stupid saying that, mentioning Crisis in this video message— but, I really don't know how to start this video at all." Y/N looks at the camera, her eyes glazed, "I guess, I could've started by saying, how much I love you, Barry. And I would never stop saying or telling you how much I love you."

Barry inhales deeply as he crossed his arms, a small frown coming upon his lips.

"I've been in headquarters since the afternoon thinking about what to tell you." Y/N mutters quietly, Barry dismissing the place she was in but only caring about what she has to say, "And I have no idea, because I'm afraid— afraid that the things that I actually want to tell you won't come out. But I know that deep down, you know in that big heart of yours what I want to tell say."

Y/N sniffles quietly and is about to speak when her gaze falls behind the device she's recording herself in, her expression dropped as she immediately stood up from her seat. A loud alarm blared causing the brunette to be taken back as his wife quickly picked up the device and he was able to make out the red light hitting her face as it looked like the outside was illuminating red skies.

"Y/N!" An unfamiliar voice shouted from her side, causing her to look at them, "You need to go— Ethan left, Crisis is here!"

Y/N looks back at the device and huffs, then looks back at the person, "Okay, get ready, Jason. Let's go, we need to call the rest of the team-"

The screen goes black and Barry furrows his brows before it turns back on again, and the scenery was much more different than last time. Y/N was in her suit, her mask off as she was hiding behind an abandoned building and explosions were heard. The red skies being seen more clearer, screams and shouting coming from the background as they followed grunts and the sound of rubble coming up.

Y/N was breathing heavily as she held up the device to her face, tears streaming down her face as she sniffled loudly. Barry's expression falls as he already knew that she was battling in Crisis, his heart beating fast as his eyes widen at the scene.

"Barry, I'm so sorry— I'm really sorry." Y/N cries quietly and Barry has tears in his eyes, "I'm sorry that I didn't live up to our marriage. That I'm not going to be there for the rest of the time that we were supposed to have together, sweetheart."

Barry exhales deeply, tears starting to fall as his heart aches more than before. He felt like his world was slowly starting to fall apart.

"I know that you wouldn't want me to be sorry, but it's the one thing that I have to tell you before anything happens." Y/N sniffles, falling back slightly as a loud explosion happened near her, "I'm sorry that there was nothing we could do to stop this— that I had to be one of the ones to leave to save the multiverse, but in some ways I know that if I don't do this, I'll lose you either way. Guess time wasn't on our side for this one, babe."

Barry starts to quietly cry as he stares at her— there was really nothing they could do to stop it. Nothing, time for them has always been limited.

Y/N laughs softly, shaking her head, "But, it's okay. You want to know why? Because I won't leave you alone, you have our baby with you— you have sweet Liam, our sweet baby boy, our little troublemaker— the best of both of us, the best of you, Barr. He'll take care of you, and you will be such a great father, you've already done such a great job."

"Tell him how we met, tell him how his parents overcame everything— how they were happy." Y/N's voice breaks, tears streaming down her face, "And when the time comes, when he has powers like you and me, cheer him on every race, on every bad guy he defeats. Tell him how his Mom would be proud of him no matter what, but most importantly that I'm always going to be by his side."

"Kiss him goodnight for me, tell my boy that he's the best thing that's happened to me, how he made me the happiest person in the world." Y/N sobs quietly, "I love you so much, Barry Allen. Keep me in your heart, that's how I'll always be alive— if you keep me in your heart, okay? Because I'm keeping you in mine, until the last race of this Crisis. And when the time comes, we'll see each other again, and time will be infinite for the both of us. I love you."

The video ends, the screen going black.

Barry's cries grew loud enough for Liam to quickly make his way inside the room, the young speedster having tears in his eyes. The boy didn't waste time to approach his father and influg him in a tight hug as Barry didn't waste a second to hold him close. The pain in Barry's heart only growing as his chest tighten and his tears continued to fall from his eyes.

"It's okay, Dad." Liam mutters quietly, "We'll save her this time, I know we will. We have to save her."

"We have to— I— I can't lose her, Lee."

"I know, Dad."
