Chapter 4: Jake!

The bell rang and the day was finally over. Drew got up and said "hey Jake, wanna hang at my house today?"

Jake smiled slightly and said "Yes"
"Alright, come with me so I can get my stuff and then we'll go to your locker." Drew said.

When they were walking to get Drew's stuff from his locker Jake looked over and saw people whispering about him. Then someone came up to Jake and Drew also stopped, wondering what the person was doing.

"Need something?" Jake asked. The guy just pushed Jake to the ground. Jake bled on his face just a little bit and he got scared. "WHAT THE HELL!?!" Drew yelled, standing infront of Jake, protecting him. "Your a freak Jake and you always will be!" The guy said. "Your such a loser!" Some other girl said behind Jake. The other girl kicked Jake which made him bleed on his face but mainly his lips.

Jake didn't want to look like a loser by crying but the truth is it hurt really bad and he hated it. All he did was hold his hands on his ears and close his eyes. He started to cry.

"GET AWAY FROM HIM!" Drew screamed, trying to hit the girl and boy at the same time. Drew picked Jake up and was horrified when he saw Jake's lips. Drew grabbed Jake's hand and ran away from them into the bathroom.

Drew told Jake to sit down on the floor and then Drew got up and put water on a paper towel. Drew sat next to Jake on the floor and dabbed Jake's lip very lightly. "O-ow...." Jake whispered. "Sorry Jake, but I have to stop your lip from bleeding..." is all Drew said before they both got quit.

"Ok..." Drew said. Drew told Jake to look up so that he could see his lip and how bad it was but Jake would not look up at all. Drew got angry and ended up grabbing Jake's face gently and pushing it so that they looked each other in the eyes.

Drew blushed when he saw Jake and he also felt bad for Jake. Jake blushed a lot and just sat there, looking into Drew's eyes, not wanting this moment to ever end.

Drew snapped out of it and got up to throw away the towel and wash his hands. Drew looked at Jake who was staring back at him, all innocent looking, dried tears all down his face.

"Jake...are you ok?" Drew asked. "Im...f-f....I am a freak! And I'm a jerk!" Jake yelled, crying. "No your not! Jake, don't ever listen to anything that anyone ever says!" Drew yelled.

Drew sat next to Jake again and blushed. Drew wiped the tears off of Jake's face and looked him straight in the eyes.

Jake blushed and said "the music club kicked me out because I'm a jerk to them and I always have been...." "No...their the jerks....they-they....." Drew started to say.

"This is my fault Jake....even after you told me about this stuff I still didn't listen to you or care about your passion for singing....im a bad friend...." Drew whispered. Drew felt horrible for not liking Jake or accepting him for what he liked or what he had a passion for...he was being selfish of Jake from the music club.

Jake just looked Drew in the eyes and realized that Drew might actaully feel bad for Jake. "Hey...." Jake said. Jake hugged Drew very tightly.

Drew hugged him back. "I just didn't want to loose you, I wanted you to still be my friend but you were gonna choose the music frea- the music club over me!" Drew screamed. "I would never...to be honest.. I thought you were gonna leave me...especially after what Zoey did..." Jake confessed.

"I would never, Jake, you don't understand how hard it is now days to hang out with those idiots, Liam and Henry, without you being there because instead your hanging out with the music club." Drew confessed.

"I'm sorry that I have been hanging out with the music club more often Drew...it's just...the competition and all-" Jake started to say before Drew cut him off.

"Its my fault, I should have been happy that you were finally doing something you enjoyed." He said. Drew looked down at his knees next to Jake's before Jake got up.

Jake got up and looked down at Drew. Jake held his hand out for Drew to help him get up which Drew took happily.

They both started walking down to Drew's locker once again and got the stuff he needed. Everybody in the hallways was looking and whispering about Jake still which made him scared again but Drew was right there, right next to Jake to reassure him and most importantly to protect him from anyone.

Jake got his stuff from his locker and they got in Drew's limo to get to his house. Jake was glad to be away from everybody else, he was glad to be sitting next to Drew, all alone, heading to his house.
