Chapter 3

Kian was long gone. He probably skated to Sam's house.

Jc and I skated/walked to a diner where I got a salad and he got chicken.

Jc laughed at me. It wasn't a very assuring laugh... He seemed uncomfortable.

"Jc?"

"What?" He giggled again and squirmed.

"Spit it out!" I said stuffing a cucumber in my mouth.

"Well..." He couldn't stop smiling. He looked up at the ceiling and said "Not yet!"

I gently punched his arm. "You know girls cant handle surprises!"

"Owe!" He said sarcastically and rubbed his arm.

"Do you have a boo boo you bo bo?" I laughed and kissed his arm.

"You know..." He looked up, "My lips kinda hurt too."

"Oh do they?" I looked up at him and kissed his lips.

We laughed and headed home.

"So." He started. "How do you imagine your life in the future?"

"With you." I smiled and looked up at him. He looked down kicking a rock.

I saw him smile. He faintly said something. I looked up. "Huh?"

"What?"

"You murmured something."

His face turned red. "Nope."

"Whatever." I rolled my eyes, pushed him and then kissed him.

"Love you." He assured me.

"Forever."
