After I got home from school I bathed and went into the small room that my mother and I shared to just lay down and rest.
I then remembered that all now the girls aren't sure where we are going later
We had a group on WhatsApp called 'Tea Time' this is where we would chat everybody's tory.
I sent a message in the group saying "All now unuh nuh figure out weh wi aguh?"
And in about a minute Shan replied "Mi hear bout this party but Mia hear seh a big people tings and a mi n uh alone have ID"
I like those adult parties I couldn't bother with the kids shit that's why from I turned 18 I looked about my ID so that I could go anywhere.
" A dessuh wia guh wi shall find away fi everybody guh in" I replied to Shan's message. I was so drained so I set my alarm for 7:00 p.m and fell asleep.
I dont know how long I slep for but i wasnt that tired when I was awake, I got up from the bed and went into the kitchen because I smelled food cooking
"mummy wah yaw look bout?" I said and my mother turned and saw me coming in the kitchen " some curry chicken and rice" she replied.
"Mia guh out tonight wid mi fren them" I said but knowing my mother she doesn't want them kill off her one daughter
" Monique uh need fi be careful pon the road a night, uh know see a bay killing a gwan" she replied
" mummy a tru a the last part a school mi fren them really wah guh out and Memba me and Shan a the only 18 year olds suh we need to be there." I said trying to just end the convo
"Alright mam" was her reply , and that was my que to go get ready.
After trying to find clothes and getting ready I took about an hour, I called the girls once I'm sure I'm ready at told them to leave out, I grabbed my bag and head out
I heard when mommy shouted 'be safe'
" I will mummy, love you". I replied
I went outside in my dark community to see if I could get a taxi as quickly as possible and indeed I did. I got a taxi about 5 minutes after standing, I got in the taxi and head straight into town.
When I finally reached in the town, the girls and I had planned to meet in the square
I know my girls, everyone looked real good as expected
I was wearing these ripped short shorts with a blouse that is split in the middle showing my tattoo that I just got with my face beat that I hurried to do but everything came out looking good.
" When wi done get man tonight" Avii said and we all laughed.
