Because I love you ~ Gally

It was night time in the Glade and the bonfire had just been lit. The heat let off was great and it immediately warmed your freezing body. The new greenie had arrived earlier but you hadn't bothered to find out his name because this had happened so many times before. It had turned into the new normal.

As you sat down on a log you watched Gally fight like usual. He never lost, it was a common fact, and you admired him for that, as well as many other things. The thing is you had a crush on Gally, you had for ages. You loved everything about him - even his eyebrows, which in your opinion were the best eyebrows seen to mankind. So, as you stared at him beat Winston in another wrestling match you decided you would like to give it a go. You wanted to prove yourself to Gally.

"Hey, Gally" you shouted.

"y/n?" He replied raising on of his eyebrows.

"Can I have a go at fighting you in the arena?" Just before he could open his mouth with the almost definite reply of no you whined, "Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaasssssee"

" I didn't even answer y/n" He said chuckling slighty, "But, no"

"Why?" you said giving him puppy dog eyes but he just walked away, ignoring you.

~TIME SKIP~

"Hey Gally" you said as you sat down next to him. It had been 2 days since the bonfire and you had kept pestering him as to why he hadn't let you fight him.

"Hey, y/n" He said smiling slightly, "What do you want?"

"Oh, I was just wondering why you didn't let me fight you at the bonfire?" you asked slyly.

Gally sighed and said, "Your never going to stop asking me that are you?"

"Nope" you replied. This cycle of speech repeated for a long time as you walked into the center of the Glade together. Gally had begun to get frustrated and a crowd of curious Gladers had formed around you.

"Why didn't you let me fight you at the bonfire?" you said for what must have been the 100th time today.

"BECAUSE I LOVE YOU" Gally shouted.

You stood there in silence looking at his blushing face not quite believing what you just heard. Gally loved you? No-one spoke. No-one moved.

"Because I shucking love you and don't want to hurt you" he said quieter this time. Without saying a word you walked up to him and pressed your chapped lips against his. Gladers cheered around you and you heard Ben shout that Gally had done soft. You smiled slightly at this and when you pulled away you saw Gally give Ben a death glare. As you faced each other again you whispered,

"I love you too".
