Ok~ Aris (Part 2)

We had made it to the scorch. Escaped W.C.K.D. We were safe... or at least as safe as possible.

I rolled over on my side to see Aris next to me. We had stuck together throughout all of the problems, the maze, finding Thomas and the others and finally escaping to the scorch. If I was completely honest I felt pretty good about the fact I was still alive.

"Hey" Aris whispered. I hadn't realised it but I had been staring at him as I zoned out. I was lying down next to him, my head on my backpack with the silence of the night and the crackling fire.

"Hey" I whispered back. My voice was slightly hoarse because of the lack of water.

"You doing ok?" he asked me.

"Yeah I'm ok, you?"

"Fine" He whispered. "I am cold though". There was a breeze in the air which took away the usual heat of the daytime. I should be thankful but I couldn't being slightly chilly.

"Do you want a hug?" I asked. We both needed the body heat.

Without speaking he moved over slightly and wrapped his arms around me. I shivered but this time it wasn't because of the cold. I heard him mutter something that sounded like 'thanks' before he nestled his face into my neck.

"You two better not me making out over there" I heard Minho grumble.

"Shut up, we're cold" I replied. I heard him turn over and snores came from him only moments later.

Aris had fallen asleep and after a while his grip loosened slightly but it was still firm.

"Your right Aris, everything will be ok". Then you fell asleep in the boy you loved arms.
