You and Minho had been slowly breaking apart since the new Greenie, Thomas, had arrived. Minho wasn't making any time for you but you didn't want to say anything since you knew you would seem clingy and annoying. These were the times when you wondered how you had fallen in love.

Made it through the maze

You had beaten the maze! Everyone had just piled into the aircraft that some people had provided. You had escaped WICKED. Curled up in a corner silently crying because of Chuck you looked out of the window. Chuck had been one of your best friends in the Maze. Now he was gone. You may as well be alone.

You felt horrible. When Minho saw you crying he came to comfort you. He realised that Chuck was like a little brother to you and his death must have been hardest on you. He wrapped his arms around and whispered sweet things in your ear hoping to comfort you. You realised that you couldn't lose Minho as well as Chuck. You needed him for your survival. You needed each other.

You carried on life without Chuck. Minho had begun ignoring you again. You escaped WICKED, found these people called Brenda and Jorge, you carried on in life. But you had been becoming more angry. You would have random outbursts at anyone for random reasons.

Things were getting worse. The final push to destroy WICKED was here you could feel it. That was until you started to see black veins had been growing on your arms. The shock was terrible. You had the flare. You were going to turn into a crank. Right then and there you broke down crying. Crying for the fact you would die after everything you'd been through. Crying that it had to be you. Crying that you would never get to tell Minho that you still loved him after everything you'd been through.

You had to tell them. You could feel the flare eating your brain slowly. You were losing sanity. So, that's how you walked up to your Boyfriend when he was surrounded by his friends and showed him your arm. He was quick to wrap you in a hug telling you it would all be ok. But you both knew that was a lie.

The flare had killed you. You were on the edge of your sanity about to fall into the Gone. You tried to run away but Minho ran up to you. "No, NO, NO please, y/n, please don't leave me" he shouted. But it sounded faded. You slowly reached up and stroked his cheek trying to remember every detail of his face. "Minho, I-i love you please remember that" He was now crying. Slowly he leant forward and pressed is lips onto your in the last kiss you would ever have. Others would have thought it disgusting but it meant the world to both of you. Then he pulled the trigger.
