The mask Michael wears is actually a prototype design of Foxy's mask. He stole it from his father's workshop a few years ago, and never returned it (although William wasn't especially bothered, since it had no mechanical parts inside). Chris was always terrified of it, which is most of the reason why Michael wears it. That, and he thinks it looks cool. It does not.
