Until the end of FnaF 6, when all they finally died, Clara had no idea that Elizabeth possessed Circus Baby. She was immediately wracked with hurt after she was 'freed' from Ballora/Molten Freddy for allowing her daughter to be kicked out of Ennard. The knowledge that her and her daughter were literally entwined with each other for so long and she didn't notice almost drove Clara insane with regret.
