Kyras POV
"Kyra! Kyra, hey." Luke called out, I turned towards him
"Luke, what's up?" I asked with a smile
"I wanted to ask you something actually." Luke said scratching the back of his neck, I tilted my head in confusion and nodded for him to continue "so, there's this thing on Saturday, me and the guys are gonna be playing at a pub and we were all wondering if you'd wanna play with us.." My eyes widened
"What? That's in 2 days I'm not gonna have time to prepare!" Kyra panicked
"I thought you might say that so, I brought the lyrics to the songs that we're gonna be performing so that you can practice in class." Luke shrugged handing me a few sheets of paper, I folded up the paper and shoved them into my pocket "so?"
"I'll think about it." I sighed as the bell rang
"Yeah, ok, but we kinda need to know by tomorrow." Luke chuckled, I nodded
"I gotta get to class, I'll see you later." I said awkwardly before walking to my first class which was history

I sat in class reading through the songs that Luke gave me
"Can anyone tell me when Elvis Presley was born and when he died?" My teacher asked the class
Everyone raised their hands as I sunk down in my seat
"Kyra, what about you?" He called on me, I sighed as I sat up straight
"He was born the 8th of January 1935, and he passed away on the 16th of August 1977." I answered simply before looking back at the pieces of paper in my hands
"Very good." He nodded before the bell rang "Class dismissed." I quickly gathered my things before heading to the library deciding to wag the next class to practice the songs that she was given
"Hey." I jumped as Ashton showed up beside her "Sorry." Ashton laughed "You wagging?" I nodded
"Yeah, I'm reading through the songs that Luke gave me. Did you know about this gig?" I asked, Ashton nodded
"We all told Luke to not tell you last minute, but he never listens to us." Ashton shrugged making me chuckle "What class are you supposed to be in right now?"
"Math." I sighed "You?"
"English."
"Can we like swap classes? I would much rather English over Math." I laughed
"Same, I'm not even wagging, I was sent here to get these from the printer, so I better go.." Ashton stood up and turned to walk away "Hey, it would mean a lot if you played with us, and if you like playing with us we might even let you join the band." Ashton shrugged before leaving the library, I sat there for a moment with a huge smile on my face before pulling my phone out of my pocket and scrolling to find Luke's contact because knowing him he wouldn't be in class, he was probably in the music classroom
Once I found his contact, I called him, after a few rings he answered
