Shani laid back letting her mind take over her body.

She rolled over dialing her mom's phone number
"Hello"Shani heard a raspy voice say over the phone.
"Um hi can I talk to Vanessa please"the woman started breathing heavily and hung up.
"Weird"Shani called the number back.
"Um I think you lost connection I was asking for Vanessa.
"Y-yes this is she ?may I ask who this is?
"I-Its your-It's s-Shani mom.
"Baby girl"Shani heard her mom's voice cracking.
"Yes mama
Vanessa broke down in tears over the phone
"H-how have you been baby??
"I'm holding up just like you taught me
"I'm so sorry mami for leaving you
"It's okay now mommy
"Shani you're....you're bro- brother died.
Shani felt her happiness switch to anger fast
"When ?
"Last year i - LAST YEAR AND YOU JUST NOW TELLING ME ?"Shani cut her mom off.
"I'm sorry I didn't no how to tell you.
"So you hide it make me miss his funeral? You didn't thank there was another way
Shani hung up the phone and blocked her mom's number
"What the fuck"Shani started throwing and breaking things.
She walked to the kitchen to get some water
Dougie walked in
"Ouuu let me guess you found out Kay cheating?
Shani looked at him with sharp eyes
"Get out"dogie tried walking away to his room.
Shani grabbed a butcher knife
"GET THE FUCK OUT"Shani pointed the knife at his neck.
"OKAY just put it down"Shani pushed him to the door.
