V.ittoria Acquafredda lived off of the coast of Italy when she was younger. She never knew her father, mostly because he was human and her people were sea nymphs. The population of her circle of sea nymphs was small, but they were home. They lived in a cave, filled with glowing blue waters; to humans they found it rather strange. The humans didn't like the nymphs, mostly because of their powers. Connected to nature and especially the sea, they could control the element of water– and the townsfolk felt as if this was the reason as to why they scarcely catch any fish. Everyone knew not to try and interact with the humans, but Vittoria couldn't help it.
One night she fell in love with a human, a son of a fisherman. With that came a consequence, the boy told his father who then followed Vittoria to where the nymphs resided. Luckily, Vittoria and a few others escaped before the humans attacked. Her family, not so lucky. The girl was forced to swim as far as one could, traveling from country to country till she found refuge in Rue Morgue. Since she was fifteen she stayed in the institute, now twenty one Vittoria makes it her duty to help others who might've been harmed.
