"Need help getting out?" Your eyes fluttered open hearing someone's voice so close to you. When your eyes adjusted to the light you saw Neteyam and Tuk next to your hammock. "Huh?" You hadn't quite registered what had been said as you were still half asleep. You heard Tuk giggle and Neteyam speak again. "Do you need some help getting out of your hammock?" You sat up and shook your head smiling, you had a feeling he wasn't going to let that moment go. When you successfully exited the hammock Tuk took your arm and started leading you outside. Neteyam followed after, you looked to where Lo'ak and Kiri would have been sleeping but their hammocks were empty. You had been the last one to wake. When Tuk had you outside you were met with Tsireya, Ao'nung, and the boy who had teased Neteyam's tail. Your face hardened for a moment before looking at Ao'nung, you gave a forced smile as you remembered your encounter last night. He just rolled his eyes at you before Tsireya introduced the Na'vi known as Rotxo to you. He wasn't related to Tsireya or Ao'nung but he would also be teaching you the ways of the Metkayina.
When Tsireya, Ao'nung, and Rotxo jumped into the water the boys were eager to follow them. "Come on." Neteyam gave his brother's shoulder a light nudge before jumping in, not wanting to feel like you were falling behind in the slightest you jumped in quickly after. You opened your eyes under the water and quickly saw Kiri and Tuk follow after. Just like the Sullys you were looking around your surroundings. All the beautiful fish caught your attention, each new fish had its own story to tell and its own use in the ocean and to the Mettkayina people. Your eyes had settled on one fish as it swam under your arm fast to swim away from you all. It was silver with a purple diamond taking up its front half. You started to swim where it had gone as it turned into some coral. You lost it quickly and looked back at the Sullys, Neteyam waved you over and you swam back to them.
When Tsireya flipped over she smiled at your group. Lo'ak pointed and you all started swimming in their direction. Swimming through there only seemed to be more fish and plant life, you watched the coral as you swam catching a small glimpse of the type of fish you had seen before. You all seemed to be doing an okay job at keeping up, you still struggled to match their pace but overall you were close. Until you couldn't breathe, it seemed Neteyam and Lo'ak shared this action as you broke the water surface with them. Breathing hard you caught your breath again, your shoulders felt heavy as you tried breathing in. Lo'ak dunked his head under and with Neteyam, you did as well. When you saw Tsireya she was doing something with her hands, you couldn't tell what she was trying to say so you brought your head up again to catch your breath and go down again. The Sullys followed as you took the lead. You tried swimming to them again, this time was much shorter than the other as Lo'ak tapped your shoulder. He and Neteyam started pointing upwards again and you nodded not feeling as though you hadn't gotten as much air as the first time you entered the water. When you broke through the surface again Neteyam was the one to look down first, you just tried focusing on trying to get a good breath in.
"Are you alright?" Tsireya was right behind you now, she gave you a small scare but you quickly recovered. "You're too fast! Wait for us." Tuk gave a whined plea as she rubbed her eye. "Just breathe." That was all you had been trying to do but again you lost focus as Ao'nung broke through the water. "You are not good divers." You rolled your eyes at his insult. "You may be good at Swinging through trees but-" He was quickly cut off by his sister giving him a good and well-deserved whack on the head. "Come on bro." You giggled at this action as you secretly wished you had done so yourself. "We don't speak this finger talk." Neteyam wiggled his hand up before putting it back underwater to keep him afloat. "We don't know what you're saying." Tisreya looked calm and patient as Ao'nung gave you a teasing smirk. "I will teach you."
"Where is Kiri?" Rotxo spoke up in concern. "Kiri?" You started to look at the heads above water. "Who?" Leave it to Ao'nung not to even know your names. "Kiri, where is Kiri?" The others started frantically looking around for Kiri. "Did you see her?" Tisreya spoke calmly as you took a look under you scanning the ocean floor and the coral. There was no sign of her, you quickly brought your head back up to see Lo'ak and Neteyam with their heads underwater. "I don't see her." Neteyam popped his head up. "Did you see her?" You shook your head, Mrs. Sully had asked you just yesterday to keep an eye on her children, and one of them was already lost. "Let's go back and see if we can find her." Tisreya was calm as she went back into the water. Ao'nung followed although you didn't think he would try looking too hard. "We'll find her." You and Tuk must have been looking distressed as Rotxo said this before diving down with the siblings. Neteyam and Lo'ak had gone as well to look for her. You decided to stay with Tuk and look above the water. "Tuk, when did you see her last?" You knew Tuk and Kiri had jumped in together and wondered if she saw Kiri go off maybe. "We were looking at the fish and then we started following Tisreya." Tuk and you swam along the top, searching still. "I don't know when I last saw her, I just thought she was with us." You squirmed a bit as you had thought the same thing.
