Summary:  Milo decided to branch out from being a simple influencer to a business person with the simple goal of selling merchandise. Little did they know how much trouble this would cause! This forced them to stay up all night packaging the merch while Oz lends a helping hand.

A/N: Fun fact, I've had the idea for this oneshot ever since I started this book!

Day #6: Sunrise

Considering that Milo had basically an army of loyal followers on their Instagram alone, it was a wonder how they didn't make merch sooner... or rather a blessing. After months of the reaper being creatively drained by coming up with designs, finding the perfect colors, logos, marketing, etc; they now had the pleasure of shipping out every order themself!

They originally released the items for pre-order so nothing had a guaranteed release date, however, when there are hundreds of thousands of pre-orders to get through, you kinda had to move fast. That's what Milo was trying to accomplish, by being up since 6 AM packing their perfect designs into shipping bags with 'customized' thank you notes in each one.

The time was now 11 PM and Milo hadn't moved from their office, still packing away the mountain of assorted merchandise that lays in the corner of the room. There wasn't even a dent in it, it still looked the same as this morning and Milo was slowly going insane whenever they looked at it.

Oz had some work to do today, so he sadly couldn't help his partner with the daunting task until he got home, which was around 3 AM. He entered the apartment quietly, not sure if Milo was asleep or not yet, he's learned the hard way to not interrupt Milo's beauty sleep. However, the reaper's office light was still on, which caused Oz to let out a sigh and enter the room.

"Hey hun," Oz says while standing in the doorway of the office. Milo looked up from where they were sitting on the ground and straightened out their posture before responding, "Hey darling,"

"So, I see you're still working on the packaging, didn't you say you'd get it done by midnight?" Oz slightly taunts his partner while sitting down on the floor next to them, remembering a conversation from earlier that day of the reaper claiming it would take until midnight at most.

"Shut up and help me," Milo says with a fake laugh, handing Oz one of the sweaters he helped design and the fearling got to work.

"How many have you done?" Oz asks while placing the sweater in a shipping bag, reaching out to grab a thank you note Milo printed out earlier that day. It took the reaper a bit to respond before muttering out, "Last time I checked, I was in the thousands."

"Oh my god, Milo..." Oz says with a laugh that covers up the slight concern in his voice. He knew when Milo got hyper-fixated on something like this, there was no stopping them until the task was done. So the best thing he could do was sit down and help out his partner, so that's what he did.

"How was work?" Milo asked after a moment of silence, which caused Oz to stop wrapping some merchandise for a second before remembering the time constraint they were under.

"It was fine, I just had to scare some kids into not doing drugs and businessmen to not steal resources from other countries," Oz states while taping up his fifth package and throwing it with the other finished bags. Milo hummed while folding a sweatshirt in their lap.

"Do you think they're gonna do the drugs regardless, the kids?" Milo asks after sparing Oz a glance, which causes the boy to let out a laugh.
"They probably will anyway, I don't know why these schools are hiring me to tell these kids to not do drugs. It's like when DARE hired police officers, it just makes no sense." Oz says, which got the first laugh out of Milo in probably hours.

"You're the figurehead of terrifying the youth into doing drugs, you should be proud," Milo says tauntingly before pulling out a new hoodie and Oz couldn't help but laugh. He appreciated moments like this, just a simple conversation between the two without an end goal in sight. They were enjoying each other's company just for the sake of it, and Oz couldn't get enough.

"You know," Milo starts while stretching out the slightest bit. "You could go to sleep if you'd like. This was probably the last thing you wanted to do when you got back to our apartment." Milo states absent-mindedly while packing up another sweatshirt and Oz looks up at them.

"I don't mind, plus there's no way I'm going to bed without you..." Oz replied, which finally got Milo out of their packaging trance. They let blush spread across their face before crawling over to Oz and kissing him on the cheek.

"Don't say stuff like that darling, you're going to distract me from my one true love." Milo whispers into Oz's ear, which causes the fearling to wrap his arms around the reaper and pull them into his lap.

"And who would that be?" Oz asks Milo with a smile and laughs near the end, still holding the reaper.

"The merch of course," Milo revealed with no hesitation, which caused Oz to mock an offended gasp.

"Say it ain't so." Oz says jokingly, to which Milo replies quickly with, "It so, very so."

That led to Oz trapping Milo in his lap and subjecting them to tickle torture. One thing that Milo's followers didn't know about the reaper was that they were very ticklish, which Oz used to his advantage during moments like this.

"Dar-Darling haha- Please stop- oh my god!" Milo says while trying to escape Oz's lap, but he held them there and continued to tickle them.

"Not until you take it back, hon." Oz says while still holding Milo and the reaper just rolled their eyes and forces out a small, "Fine."

"Oz," Milo starts, completely serious considering they were actually saying his real name. "I love you more than anything... even the merch."

Milo then pulled Oz into a kiss, which the fearling returned almost immediately. Everything felt perfect at that moment, despite Milo being up for over 22 hours and the two not close to being done with the mountain of merch in the corner. The moment was purely stress-free, which Milo gratefully appreciated considering the day they had.

Eventually, the two returned to packaging up the merchandise again until the very early morning. However, despite the fixation and massive amounts of caffeine in Milo's system, they could only take so much. So, while the sun rises up from over the window seal, Oz continues packaging merchandise while Milo peacefully sleeps against him.

Oz couldn't help but stare in awe at his partner, no matter what circumstance they found themself in, they still looked breathtaking. Oz ended up taking a picture of the two of them and posting it onto Milo's Instagram page with the simple caption: 'Sleepyhead 💤😴'.

After that, Oz enjoyed the sunlight that poured through the window as he continued to carve out the mountain of merchandise in the corner, which thankfully now had a small dent in it.
