Tachibana Akane's POV

I was feeling tired, my eyes felt heavy and the only thing I wanted to do at the moment was to go back to sleep. I pulled my blanket to keep the heat only to realize that it wasn't a blanket. That was enough to wake me up from my slumber.

The first thing I noticed was that I wasn't sleeping on my bed but on a desk which had been quite comfy despite being a hard surface. I must have been quite tired to fall asleep here, how strange? I don't remember doing anything strenuous.

Although I felt like I had slept better than I had in a long time despite my sleeping conditions. I tried to remember what happened before I went to sleep but I couldn't remember anything. My last memory was of me giving Horikita-kun the recording of Todays' announcement.

I think I went to search for Kiryuin but everything after that was foggy. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't remember a thing, it was like my brain was blocking all those memories. Which made me wonder if something happened.

I had no idea but if Kiryuin was involved I had no doubts that something indeed happened and I needed to find out what it was. I had the feeling that filling those blanks in my memory was really important though I also felt that I would regret it afterwards.

This place seemed to be familiar but I couldn't pinpoint it. I tried to look around to find something that would ring the bell but before that could happen my eyes arrived at something. It was a name plate that said Student Council President.

Yup, there was no doubt I was inside Horikita-kun's office, no wonder it seemed familiar. It wasn't my first time here but I couldn't help but get nervous. I was inside a place where my beloved president would spend most of his time.

Come to think of it, how did I end up inside here? As far as I was aware, the only one allowed here was Horikita-kun. The few times I've been here have been to deliver some documents and leave. Also this office should be locked, the only time it is open is when Horikita-kun is around.

Thus making a bigger mystery of how I was here. I looked at the door but it didn't seem like it had been forced, not that I knew what one looked like. I tried to look around to find any clues that might help me but nothing seemed to stand out.

At least that's what I thought until my eyes arrived at a certain object that I've been ignoring the whole time. It was the "blanket" that had been keeping me warm in my sleep back then. Though it wasn't a blanket but a male school uniform blazer.

I had no idea who the owner was but I was sure that whoever had brought me here had left it. So I took it and started looking for anything that would give me a clue. After some seconds I found something inside one of the pockets. It was a small white box.

For some reason I felt some familiarity from the box, like I had seen it somewhere. However I couldn't remember where or what was inside of it, so I had to open it. Once I did it I was surprised with what I found, inside the box there was a plain gold ring.

I wasn't an expert in jewelry but to my eyes it looked genuine. It was the first time I had held one so close as I've never been curious about them. I had always thought they were a marriage thing and that was too far away to worry.

However now that I had one on my hands I was left without choice but to follow my sudden curiosity. I wanted to try it but which finger should I put it on? My left fourth finger seemed to be the perfect place and to my surprise it fitted perfectly.

I extended my hand to see how it looked, it looked good and I loved it. Unfortunately there was no way I could keep it, gold rings were quite expensive after all. Nevertheless I would take care of it until I give it back to its rightful owner. I feared that if I were to put it in the lost and found someone might take it.
