To wrap things up, Xu Qin awkwardly cleared his throat as if indirectly abiding by Xu Ming’s claims which in turn dissipated the depressing atmosphere a little bit due to this misunderstanding.

‘’When I was 10 years old, I contracted pneumonia and was in a situation where I couldn’t go to the hospital. I did not take medicine for a little over three days so my condition was really bad. Only with that person’s appearance did I manage to get treated in time otherwise I should have died a long time ago.’’

Xu Qin glossed over the details and did not go deeper into it but Xu Ming already knew the rest of the story without him saying them.

At that time, the R government wanted to take it slow and investigated the hideouts but Xu Ming felt that it would be too slow since who knew how long the captives could hold out so he suggested going there in person.
