Ryo peeled her eyes open and found herself in her bedroom at the SSS compound rather than back in the chaos of the army base.
She frowned at the silence. "Huh." It had happened before; she tried to teleport to one location and ended up in another. Bending space was so difficult, and sometimes her thoughts were not completely in it. But this time felt different.
She turned around, expecting someone to be in the room, but she was alone. And her superhero suit hung over the mirror on the wall. Ryo looked down and a sinking feeling settled inside her stomach. She was wearing the clothes she'd had on earlier that day, before they went to Louisiana.
"Oh no." Heart pounding, she ran to her bedside table and picked up her watch with fumbling fingers. One of the SSS members gave it to her to keep track of time, just as a joke.
It read 5pm.
Ryo's stomach flipped. "I've gone back in time."
