Noah's POV

Cody and I were assigned to share a room, and at first, I was a little nervous about it. After all, we had just come out of the woods, where we had spent every moment together, and now we were going to be sleeping in the same room.

But as it turned out, Cody was the easiest roommate I could have asked for. He was quiet when I needed quiet, and he was always up for chatting when I needed company.

The only problem was figuring out how to sleep. Our room was small, with two twin beds pushed against opposite walls. At first, I thought about taking the bed by the door, but then I realized that Cody would be stuck with the one by the window.

So, I suggested we flip a coin to see who would take which bed. Cody agreed, and after a few rounds of heads and tails, I ended up with the bed by the window.

But as soon as I lay down, I realized that my bed was directly beneath a buzzing fluorescent light. I tossed and turned, trying to get comfortable, but the light was just too bright.

"Hey, Cody," I said, sitting up. "Do you think it would be okay if we push the beds together? Like to the middle of the room?"

Cody sat up and looked at me, a small smile on his face. "Yeah, that's a great idea," he said.

We quickly got to work, pushing the beds together so that they formed a larger, more comfortable bed. And as we settled in, I couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over me.

"Thanks, Cody," I said, laying down next to him. "This is perfect."

Cody smiled and nodded. "Anytime, Noah," he said. "Just don't kiss my ear again," he teased. I blushed and laughed a bit.

And as I lay there, listening to the sound of Cody's steady breathing, I couldn't help but think about how lucky I was to have met him. I watched as he turned to lay down on his side, his back now facing me. I turned the opposite direction as well, hoping we didn't wake up in that cuddling position again.
