Noah POV

I woke up the next morning feeling pretty great. After our little "moment" the night before, Cody and I had agreed to give this whole dating thing a shot. And what better way to kick things off than with a good old-fashioned beach date?

As we walked down to the sand, I couldn't help but crack a few sarcastic jokes. I mean, come on, we were on a tropical island, surrounded by palm trees and crystal-clear water. It was the perfect setting for some good-natured ribbing.

"You know, I was hoping we could go on a real romantic date," I teased, "but I guess this will have to do."

Cody rolled his eyes and playfully punched my arm. "You're such a smartass," he replied with a laugh.

But as we reached the shore and started walking along the water's edge, I could tell Cody was getting a little flustered. I mean, I knew I was pretty irresistible, but this was a new level of cute.

"What's up, buttercup?" I asked, wrapping my arm around his shoulder. "You seem a little nervous."

Cody blushed and looked down at his feet. "I don't know," he said. "It's just, you're being so sarcastic, and it's just... making me nervous, I guess."

I couldn't help but grin. I mean, here was this guy, who was always so confident and sure of himself, completely thrown off by my teasing. It was pretty adorable.

"Hey, don't worry," I said, pulling him in close. "I'm just messing with you. You know I like you, right?"

Cody looked up at me, and I could see the relief in his eyes. "Yeah," he said, smiling. "I like you too."

I laughed and said, "I know."

And with that, we continued our walk along the beach, holding hands and just enjoying each other's company. It was a perfect moment, and I was just so glad that Cody and I had finally worked things out.

I mean, sure, I was still being sarcastic and teasing him every chance I got. But at the end of the day, I was just so happy to be with him. And that was all that really mattered.

"So, what do you want to do, love?" I asked Cody, smirking as he turned a shade of red.

"I-I don't know," Cody stammered, looking around the beach. "What do you suggest?"

"Well, we could go for a swim," I offered, wiggling my eyebrows. "Or we could build a sandcastle, or even go for a walk along the shore."

"Let's go for a walk," Cody said, taking a step forward.

I snickered and linked arms with him. "Lead the way, my love."

We walked along the shore, the waves crashing against the sand. The sun was setting, and the sky was a beautiful shade of pink and orange.

"This is so beautiful," Cody said, looking out at the horizon.

"It is," I agreed, "but not as beautiful as you."

I don't know why, but out of all the words I could think of, the only word that could be used to describe Cody in this moment, was beautiful. He was absolutely beautiful.

Cody blushed, his cheeks turning a deep shade of red. "Stop it, Noah. You're making me blush."

"I know," I said, grinning. "It's one of my specialties."

We walked in silence for a few minutes, the sound of the waves filling the air. Then Cody turned to me, a serious look on his face.

"Noah, I just wanted to say thank you for today," he said. "I know you're always so sarcastic, but I really appreciate it. You make me happy."

"Aww, shucks," I said, putting on a fake southern accent. "I'm blushing too."

Cody laughed and bumped into me playfully. "Stop it, you're so cheesy."

"I know," I said, winking at him. "But you love it."

Cody smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. His cute teeth-gap showing. "I do."

We walked in silence for a few more minutes, the only sounds being the waves and the occasional seagull. Then, I stopped and turned to face Cody.

"You know what?" I said. "I'm ready."

"Ready for what?" Cody asked, a confused look on his face.

"Ready to be in a serious relationship with you," I said, smiling at him. "I really like you, Cody."

Cody's eyes lit up and he threw his arms around me, hugging me tight. "I really like you too, Noah."

We stood there for a few minutes, holding each other, before breaking apart and continuing our walk along the shore. The sun had set and the sky was now a deep shade of blue, dotted with stars.

"This is perfect," Cody said, looking up at the sky.

"It is," I agreed, taking his hand in mine. "It's perfect because I'm with you."
