Penny sat in her room, crying. For ages now, she'd had a crush on Constance. How could she not? The girl was practically perfect!
But the previous day, when she was planning to confess her feelings, she saw Constance kissing Ocean.
Her heart shattered in that moment. There was no coming back from it.
So now, here she was, sat on her bed, crying into one of Constance's hoodies that she gave her. She longed for the comfort in Constance's smell that still lingered on the hoodie.
Penny took a deep breath, being consumed by her thoughts.
Why didn't Constance like her? Was she not pretty enough? What made Constance like Ocean better? She wanted an explanation. She wanted to understand what made her so unlovable. Maybe then she could fix it and Constance would like her back? She wished she knew what was so wrong with loving her. But all she knew was that she was here, crying herself to sleep, hugging the hoodie of a girl who would never love her back....
