The sun flooded my room with its light. I got up reluctantly.
I looked at my nightstand. 'I guess it was just a dream.' I tried to mask my dissapointment.
As I lifted my arm to stretch, a surge of pain rushed through my body.
'OW What the fuck'
I looked over to find my shoulder bruised and the memories came rushing back.

The metal rod came bashing down on my shoulder.

My shoulder turned a dark shade of purple as I screamed for help.
"Stop! please!" Despite my cries for help, no one came.
No one came. Not a single soul cared to hear my cries or pay heed to them. No one cared enough to save me from my misery and sorrow. At that moment I prayed for a miracle.
For a prince charming to wake me up.
For a prince charming to break this spell.
For a prince charming to search for me.
For a prince charming to save me from this tower.
For a prince charming to show me the world beyond this cage.
But no one came.

I felt a lump in my throat and tears threatening to spill.
Come on y/n. You've got this. Just breathe in and out. In and out.
Okay. Let's get this day done with.
I got up and got ready then I went to open my door.
'Okay I've got this.'
Then I saw a flash of silver and water.

How could they?!
"Have you heard of cold showers y/n?"
" They're all the rage right now. Thought you might like it."
With a sneer, the twins left.
And I was left there, drenched. It was horrible. I felt my clothes sticking to my skin and water dripping from my hair. I was a mess.
I sighed, pushing down my anger and frustration. I'd rather not release it, especially now.
I go back to my room with the intention of drying off.
As I reached for the towel, I heard Lydia call me.
"Y/n why isn't my tea ready yet?!" I flinched at the sound of her voice, reminiscing about yesterday's events.
I left my room and made my way to the kitchen.
The lone red petal next to my nightstand going unnoticed.
After giving her tea, I had my fill of taunts.
"Honestly what is this garbage" Why are you drinking it then woman
"Why don't you learn how to make REAL tea" As if you know
"It's too hot" Why don't you wait then you're not being timed.
....
Then she told me to deliver another package, but this time it was for someone else. She mentioned their name being Charlise. Apparently she's a distant relative of Odette and is going to occupy her house.
I pity her. Odette was nice, as far as I know. I met her a few times and she seemed lovely. Her cottage is a good walk away from ours and close to the forest, where she was rumoured to be killed. The house has been empty for years, dust must be piling up.
She was known as the prettiest girl in the country. She had long platinum hair and azure eyes. Blue eyes are known to be rare around here.
While I was lost in thought, I didn't notice the figure in front of me.
Lucian's POV-
Y/n? What a pleasant surprise, I was longing to meet her.
It seems she's coming my way.

...he looks worried and flustered at the same time. I'm confused.
