Heart left in ruins,
encased in a satin-lined tomb,
where love is a
distant memory,
and gaslights darken
every room, and
from fog-shrouded feelings,
my reactions are dulled
by regret, for I'm
never sure if I deserve this,
when vague care
is wrapped in threat,
and my mind's in
eternal chaos,
for you've convinced me
I'm always wrong,
but I'm slowly emerging
from the wreckage,
in search of a safer place
to belong.
