I have a
kaleidoscope heart
and hold a mosaic within,
and the colours
of my emotions
are a riot
beneath my skin,
yet on the surface
of my existence,
I strive to mute these feels
channelling the quiet,
the calm,
and the light at my heels;
you can find me
reined in loosely
behind
my disguise,
and the depth of this empathy
will always be
my soul's surprise.
