☆Y/N POV☆
My friends thought it would be a good idea for me to date someone, considering it has been a year since I have. I've had a few one-night stands, but I haven't been out with someone and enjoyed their company in a way that didn't involve hooking up. So, I reluctantly agreed to let them set me up on a blind date. I have yet to determine who they will set me up with, but hopefully, they're an excellent person to be around and not a total creep.
"Come on, Y/N! Let me do your makeup!" my friend begged. I rolled my eyes and shook my head.
"Y/F/N, I don't want to wear a lot of makeup. I mean, seriously. I really don't care to impress this kid," I said sassily. My friend rolled their eyes.
"Yeah, I don't care what you say. Sit your ass down. I'm doing your makeup whether you like it or not."
I knew there was no way out of this, so I sat in the chair in front of them. Y/F/N began to do my makeup, keeping it natural-looking to satisfy me. By the end of the process, I loved how I looked, but I would never admit it to my friend, or else they would never let me hear the end of it.
"You look so pretty," Y/F/N said. I blushed, looking down at my shoes.
"Thank you for helping me get ready."
My friend kissed my cheek. "Anytime. Let's go downstairs so the others and I can take you to the restaurant. Your date awaits you."
I nodded. "What's his name?"
She smirked and shook her head. "Not telling you yet."
"Y/F/N, I swear if he's some creep—"
"He's not. Trust me."
I nodded again and allowed my friends to take me on a date with some mystery guy. The restaurant was busy and had a long line when we got there. My friends made my date and I a reservation, so we didn't have to wait in line. My friends dropped me off with the host, who guided me to the table where my date was waiting. However, I was surprised to see Johnny Beecher sitting at the table.
I hooked up with Johnny a few months ago after a party we both attended. I don't remember much about that night, but I remember waking up in Johnny's bed the following day. Johnny looked up from his phone, and his smile faltered at seeing me. I felt terrible I had caused his smile to fade, but I think he was shocked to see me. I think he was surprised to find out about my presence. But then again, so was I.
"Hey," I said quietly, giving him a smile as a peace offering. Johnny smiled back and nodded at me before standing up and pulling out a chair directly across from him for me to sit in. I smiled and sat down, scooting in my chair as I watched him sit back in his seat.
"Hey," he said breathlessly.
We both sat silently for a while, looking at the menu and stealing a few glances at one another occasionally. Then, finally, the waiter came up and took our orders, taking the menus with them, leaving us both with nothing to distract us.
"So," I began awkwardly. Johnny chuckled a bit.
"This is awkward," Johnny stated bluntly. I laughed and nodded.
"Yeah, it is."
Johnny took a deep breath and glanced around the restaurant. "Well, why don't we start with some introductions? Tell me about yourself."
Johnny and I talked about our ambitions and goals and what we like to do for fun. It was not bad talking with Johnny; we bonded the more we started talking. By the end of the date, Johnny had paid for us both and given me a ride back to my apartment.
"It was nice getting to know you, Johnny," I said with a smile. He blushed and looked down at his shoes, smiling as well.
"Yeah, it was nice getting to know you, too," Johnny said quietly. I frowned at his tone.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing."
"I don't think that's true. You're awfully quiet—"
"Can I kiss you?" Johnny asked. I smiled and nodded.
"Thought you'd never ask."
Johnny pulled me into him, kissing me deeply. And I knew a relationship would blossom between us.
