Alex POV - two weeks later

"Momma! Momma! Pops! Pops! It's Charlie's birthday!"

I groan and open my eyes, seeing that Sawyer is jumping up and down.

"Come here, baby. In the bed." I lift the blanket.

She hops over and burrows into me. I wrap my arms around her and squeeze her tight.

"Why so wound up, baby?" I mumble.

"Very excited! Everyone is coming over, momma! We get cake!" She says.

I smile, "Mmhmm. Just a little more sleep. You want to get the switch?"

I feel her shake her head, "Momma cuddles."

I kiss her head, "Alright then."

I close my eyes and feel Sawyer go dead weight and smile.

Soon enough, I hear a door open and little feet take off down the hallway.

"Come on, Mav'rick!" Charlie squeals.

I hear our door push open fully and open my eyes to see Charlie smiling with Maverick.

"Momma! It's my birthday! I'm three!" She says.

I feel Sawyer move and poke her head up, "Charlie! Happy birthday!"

Charlie runs and gets into the bed, "You not in your bed, Sawyer!"

Sawyer shakes her head and yawns, "Woke up early."

"Good morning, family! And happy birthday to my Charlie!" Pops says and sits up.

I pull Charlie up, "Happy birthday, my baby!"

"I have a party today!" She yells.

I chuckle, "Yes, you do! And on that note, time for breakfast!"

"Race ya, Charlie!" Sawyer flies out of bed.

"No! No racing! Walk on the steps!" I yell after them.

Serv pulls me back down into bed and kisses me deeply.

I moan and pull away, "Hi. What was that?"

He smiles, "Just grateful for you and our family."

I smile and lean in to kiss him then pull away, "Me too. Let's go before Sawyer makes a mess."

I stand up and head downstairs to see Sawyer spinning around with Charlie.

"Okay, okay. Enough spinning, Hannah said if you do that too much, it'll overstimulate you."

"Okay. I'm going to go do the balance board." She heads to the living room.

"It's going to be a lot of people here today." Serv says from next to me.

I bob my head, "Yeah, it will be. But most of them, Sawyer knows, so she should be okay. Plus we're at home, it's her safe space. And Makena is coming."

"Ah, yes. That should keep her calm." He says.

I chuckle, "Come on, Sawyer. Breakfast!"

I hear a bang in the living room and an "Owwww."

I look at Serv and walk into the living room to see the balance board across the room and Sawyer on the ground.

"I went too fast." She groans.

"Did you hit your head?" I ask.

She pushes herself off the floor and shakes her arm out, "No, I landed on my arm."
