I want to thank the constant support from all my readers. I know it doesn't seem like much but knowing that people are actually reading this fills me with motivation to actually keep writing. So thank you!
Other than that hope you enjoy!

John has been gone from school for a very long time and she's heard nothing from him since then. Not one single message, not one response from her constant phone calls. At first she thought that he needed a bit of time to himself and that maybe that's why he wasn't answering. But it's been a whole month. It makes her worry, since something must have happened for him to ignore her completely.

"Are you alright?" Elaine asked, snapping her out of her thoughts. She was assigned to look over the Safe House, and Elaine had come over to hang out. Today was quite a peaceful day, no fights and less people than usual.

"Yeah, just thinking about when John will come back. He hasn't been answering my calls or messages for the past month." She replied, shuffling in her seat.

"The guy that became king and got suspended?" She asked, putting her hands on the desk she had her bag on.
"Yeah." She answered, looking over to the window.

"Well, I'm sure there is nothing to worry about since he's a high tier." Elaine said, trying to reassure her.

"I hope so." She answered. John was capable enough to look after himself, but this situation still made her think of all the worst case scenarios. Like how he might have gotten kidnapped by same group that got rid of her ability.

"Hope so what?" A voice behind her asked, she turned around seeing Arlo. Guess he had come in to substitute her since he was scheduled to take over watching the Safe House.

"Just hope John is okay." She said as Arlo sat down on the seat to her left.

"Oh, John's fine." He said, seeming nonchalant about what he just said. He was probably lying but deep down in her gut she felt like he wasn't, which perplexed her since both John and Arlo had bad relations with each other.

"How do you know?" She asked, hanging on to the hope that she might find out more about John's current silence. More specifically his whereabouts and why he wasn't answering her calls.

"Well, he moved in with my aunt."
"And why would he do something like that?" She asked, frowning slightly.

"From what I know it's something related to his family, my aunt's just looking after him for a bit until it all smooths over." He answered, making her think about William. He was really nice to her when she was visiting, so she hoped the family issue didn't relate to William.

"Has it got something to do with his father?" She asked, hoping for the best.
"No idea, but maybe his father's book is finally catching up to him." Arlo smirked, placing an elbow on the desk in front of him.

This comment about William caused some irritation to bloom inside of her but she didn't take the comment too seriously since Arlo was always like this. He didn't mean it, well not fully, just wanted a reaction out of her.

She took a breath in, "Don't say such a thing."

Looking right at Arlo who in return looked back at her. That's when she registered his words, "Wait, how do you know who his father is?"

"Research and some common sense. You know his last name is quite telling already and then if you look at his contact list from the school records then you'll see his fathers' name. They also look quite similar, don't you think?" Arlo asked.

She sighed, not surprised. Isen was always good at digging up useful information.

"Well, do you have any way to contact him?" She asked, maybe she could talk with him over the phone. Arlo saying that John was fine and was living with his aunt because of family issues didn't help that much with her worry.
