i awoke in the air
and when i dared to glance up, i swore i could brush my fingertips against the sun.

i told my eyes to make it though the morning with a clear gaze,
but my vision began to blur right as i brushed my teeth.

i saw worlds i didn't belong to
became selves i wasn't similar to
and then i caught the bus to the building.

i wasn't paying attention when my boss announced the schedule
but i said i can stress later,
and i thought about axiology during lunch.

i returned home and passed out for some time-
i dreamt of being skilled and special
and then i dreamt of being scared.

i awoke in the air
and when i dared to glance down, i swore i could catapult my body through the ground.
i surveyed the cacophony of my reality,
and fled back to my falsehood-
i'll stay floating for just a little longer.
