Two Months Later.

Gillian's POV

I drop the heavy cardboard box in the middle of Courtney's single dorm, the pain in my back unbearable. Courtney asked me to help her carry her stuff from the moving truck in the parking lot up to her dorm.

At first I was surprised that she was able to get a personal door room on such short notice, I then remembered how rich Courtney was and did not question it further.

Nonetheless, I agreed to help her move into her dorm room, being the amazing girlfriend that I am.

"Jesus Christ, Courtney! What all did you bring with you?!" I utter, bringing my hands around to soothe my aching back.

The blonde-haired girl, who is laid sprawled out on the unmade bed, glances away from her cellphone screen and over to me. Her sapphire eyes roam over the entirety of my heaving figure with a dark look inside of them.

"Courtney." I call out sternly when she does not answer me.

The blonde immediately breaks her hungry gaze away from my body, rolling her eyes in the process.

"How are you so out of breath?" She asks as she pulls her body up from the bed, now sitting at the end of it.

I give the blonde an incredulous look.

"Some of us have been bringing heavy boxes upstairs for two hours straight," I remind her.

"All without your help, mind you."

Courtney pouts at this, standing up from the bed.

"Aww, my poor baby." She teases.

My annoyed facial expression does not falter even as my girlfriend wraps her arms around my lightly perspired neck.

"How can I make it better?"

"You can start by bringing the rest of your own stuff upstairs."

Courtney furrows her neatly trimmed eyebrows at me, her cherry-stained lips still in a small pout.

"Come on, Gill!" My girlfriend begs.

"Courtney, I carried nearly twenty boxes upstairs. All you would have to carry is two boxes." I stand my ground.

The blonde huffs with frustration when I do not back down.

"You're no fun." She mumbles, unraveling her arms from my body and walking past me.

I roll my eyes at her comment, a small smile making its way onto my face.

"Hurry up. The quicker that you finish, the sooner that we can do other extracurriculars." I persuade her, knowing how to do so.

It is as if I said the magic words to a member of the secret society.

Courtney's mood instantly switches from unmotivated and pouty to determined and eager within milliseconds. She quickly ties her long honey-colored locks up into a messy bun whilst simultaneously slipping on a pair of sneakers. She nearly falls over while doing so.

"You okay?" I smirk, trying my hardest not to laugh at her.

"I'm great! I'll be even better when I have you in the shower, though." She comments before quickly rushing out of the door.

I snicker at the blonde's cocky comment.

I swear that Courtney would have me walk around her dorm room without clothes all day if she were able to do so.

One Week Later.

Courtney helps me carry the last of my boxes into my shared dorm room with a frown on her makeup-free face. She has had a frown on her face since I broke the news to her that I would be sharing a dorm room with a girl who is majoring in the same thing as I am.
