Tw: beginning includes mention of alcohol use.

As I walked in the door, I heard my drunken dad's voice speak up.

"Who are those boys?" I heard him mumble, sipping whatever alcohol was in his cup, it looked like Vodka.

"Bruce Yamada, Robin Arellano, and Vance Hopper.. they're my friends." I replied, avoiding eye contact.

I heard my dad start muttering things but I didn't understand what he was saying, so I went to my room, which my sister soon ran into the room.

"Vance Hopper?! You walked home with the toughest kid in school?!" Gwen questioned me, I couldn't tell if she was concerned, confused, or anything else.

"Mhm.. He's been really kind to me actually-" I said, looking away from her.

"Kind? Vance Hopper?" Gwen said. "That's unexpected from him." Gwen continued, joking around.

"I was shocked too, but he's great, still kinda scary though." I responded to Gwenny's comments.

"Night Finney." Gwen smiled, heading to bed.

"Goodnight!" I said, heading to my room.

I lied in bed awake, thinking about Robin. I couldn't help it. I wish I didn't feel this way. I don't even know what I feel honestly.

"Fucks sake." I muttered, covering my face.

I tried to think about how I was even feeling about Robin. I really liked hanging out with him, he makes me happy and feel safe. I feel.. oh..

I love him.

I love Robin. I love him but I can't. I can't control it but it's not like Robin would ever love me back. Why do I even feel this way. It's just I met him then I instantly fell in love with his personality, and just him. Even if he doesn't feel the same way, I have to tell him. It's the only way I can stop being awake every night.

The next day at school, it started out normal, but I felt a deep tension around Robin. I felt like I had to tell him but I just figured this out and I'm still figuring it out. Apparently this tension had made me quiet, since Robin soon mentioned it.

"Finn?" Robin said. "You okay?" He asked, slouching in his chair to get closer near me.

"Yeah I just-" I tried explaining. "I need to tell you something at lunch." I said. I needed a but to at least prepare myself for whatever would happen. Maybe if I told him then it would make my feeling less.

"Alright." Robin said, directing his eyes to meet mine.

"Now pay attention." I said smiling, turning to face forward.

"Fineee" Robin groaned quietly.

I decided to go to the bathroom, to see if my tension would die down some.

"Dear lord I'm a mess." I muttered to myself, as I heard someone else walking in.

"Oh, hey Finn." Robin said, walking over to me. "You okay?" He asked.

I just slowly nodded. It felt like my whole body was stressed and running a million miles per hour.

"Robin I need to say something." I stuttered a bit.

"What's up Finn?" Robin asked, slightly leaning against the sink.

"I- uhm." I tried to start. "I like you. But it's not just a like it's a love and I know that might be weird and you probably don't feel the same way but I have probably felt this for the whole time I've known you and that might seem even weirder-" I ranted.

"Finn." Robin said, grabbing my wrists.

"I'm sorry if this like completely ruins our friendship which I don't want to happen but you don't like me back and I just love you but I know that can be just so awkward" I continued, ignoring Robin trying to continue my rant.

"Finn-" Robin tried getting my attention.

"Robin I'm sorry but I just love-" this time I was cut off. I felt Robin's hands let go of my wrists and grab my face. I felt his lips touch mine.

I stood there for a moment, shocked. Robin was kissing me, which I hadn't expected at all. I was just was frozen in shock.

Robin pulled away after a moment.

"I love you too Finn." Robin said, looking into my eyes. "And you don't fucking shut up." He chuckled, his face blushing.

"Holy shit-" I managed to say, I was still confused on what had just happened. I felt my face turn slightly red.

"Sorry-" Robin said, looking down.

"I didn't think that would happen." I stated, slightly chuckling.

"Honestly me neither." Robin said, looking back up at me. "That's not how I planned my- our feelings would be confessed."

Right as I was about to speak again, the bell rang.

"See you later, Finn!" Robin said, running out of the bathroom.

I stood their for a moment before starting to walk to my next class. I still had to process everything that had just happened for a moment. I also knew that I was definitely blushing. I cringed at the thought of what my face looked like at the moment.
