Mark's POV

I really like to hold Kylie's hand. I don't know why, though. I just like it. When we passed through the crowd, I let go of her hand.

"You know, you just led me into the the door of hell." She said, looking directly in my eyes.

"What? What are you talking about?" I furrowed my eyebrows slightly.

"About those-" Someone cut her off.

"Oh, it's you, Kylie!" I heard someone shout. Maybe it's her new friend. But the voice is kinda familiar. I looked at the source of the voice.

I immediately stiffened. What is she doing here?

"Is..s-she..the new friend..you were talking about?.." I didn't bother to cover the shock and anger on my face.

"Hm? Yeah, that's her. Isn't she beautiful?" She asked. I'd like to say, "Beautiful, my ass," but I was busy glaring at Crystal. I saw Kylie turned her head to look at me, but I was late to hide my anger.

"Oh, look who's here." She smiled. I scoffed mentally.

Hah! How could she smile to me like that? After all she had done? She acts like nothing happened? Oh, please!

I just stared at her coldly. She also stared at me in return. Kylie broke the silence.

"Um..guys? Do you know each other?" Kylie asked hesitantly.

I was about to answer no to her question, but Crystal beat me to it.

"Yes. We know each other." Crystal said, glancing at me. I glared at her.

"Oh." Was all Kylie said.

"Who wouldn't know us? He's popular 'cause he's a jock and I'm popular 'cause I'm the Queen bee here." She even flipped her blonde hair over shoulder.

Kylie looked very shocked. "Why didn't you tell me this earlier?"

She turned to me and glared. I put my hands up in surrender.

"I didn't even know I was hanging out with the two popular people in this school." She sighed in disappointment.

"No wonder why everyone's glaring at me." She muttered to herself before walking away.

"Kylie-" I was about to chase her when Crystal grabbed my arm and clung onto me.

"Let her be." She whispered seductively. I just looked at her, disgusted on what she's doing before shrugging her arm off forcibly. I ran after Kylie.

Kylie's POV

I walked down the hallway with my head down.

Tch! Why didn't he tell me sooner? I pouted. I'm not angry, okay? I'm just disappointed.

Everyone's whispering something about me.

"She's the girl who's hanging out with Crystal, right?"

Yeah, that's me, alright.

"Yeah. She's the one. I saw her with Mark at the parking lot earlier, too."

Oh, goody.

"Really? How dare she...She can go out with any guy she likes just not with Mark. Mark's ours."

Hah! What makes you think I'm going out with him?

"Yeah. She's new here and yet she's hanging out with the popular ones. She doesn't even have the looks to be popular."
