Darkness had never scared me before. Except for whatever this was. Nothing but an endless void. No light to guide my way. I saw nothing but darkness, and it made me uneasy.

I walked forward in hopes to find something. A way out or another person. But there was nothing. Not even my footsteps made a noise to give me a clue.

"Amara..." An unrecognizable voice whispered for me. Something calling out for me. It repeated my name over and over but no matter how far I moved it never grew above a distant voice.

Then there was a blood curdling scream. A woman's voice.

My mothers voice.

My eyes shot open, and I sucked in a deep breath. My heart pounded against my chest as I sat up from my cot. My vision was blurred as I caught my breath, slowly focusing on the figure in front of me.

Cassian had been calling out to me. Crouched in front of me, his hands cupped my cheeks as his eyes scanned my face. A concerning look was all he showed as he began brushing sweaty strands of hair away from my eyes. When I locked onto him, my heart began to slow, and my breath finally began to steady. He waited until I was calm before finally deciding to speak.

"Another nightmare." He said not as a question but as a statement. I nodded my head, my voice still lost. "You've been having them since we got here."

We landed on Korriban with a mission to find a cave. A hint given to Luthen by someone working within the Empire that we would find something valuable here. Something that would give the Rebellion another edge against the Empire. Though the second we landed, I felt off. That same feeling, I felt on Plaveth, I was feeling here. There was no sign of the Empire though. Nothing yet that could make me second guess this feeling.

But the nightmares were coming every night. After each search into whatever cave we found, the night would come, and the nightmares would follow. The same one. Nothing...nothing but darkness. Then my mother's scream. I couldn't understand it. Why I would dream that? Was it a warning, or something else? But I couldn't dwell on them, I had to push forward. I had to push away that feeling of fear.

"We should head back. Maybe get someone else to finish this mission." Cassian said as he stood back up. I quickly grabbed his wrist to stop him from moving away.

"No." I spoke in a panic, "I can handle it."

"Something is clearly causing this, Amara."

"It could be anything Cas. It's okay, I can handle it."

He let it go. So easily he crumbled to an I say so. At least one from me. I had yet to see him back down with anyone else. But with me, he didn't fight or argue. Instead, he just let me be me and gave me my space. Trust in what I said I could handle. It was a blessing and a curse.
